TS-R EZ30 Conversion

I’m looking into putting an EZ30 in my BG Legacy in the next few months. My budget will almost rule out an EZ30R conversion so my idea is to use an EZ30D instead as it would be a simpler swap. I have a few questions:

1. How difficult would it be to use the factory EZ30D ECU? i.e what would be involved in wiring it in?

2. What options are there for wire in ECU’s? Since the EZ30D is simpler than the EZ30R (no AVCS etc), would a G4 storm run it without any problems? Are there any cheaper alternatives?

3. How much does it typically cost to get an aftermarket ecu installed and tuned?

4. Which ever way I go it will have to be done by someone who knows what they're doing, so keeping this in mind which is the best/cheapest way to go – factory ecu or a wire in?

Any info would be great

Come round sometime and I'll show you how much it's costing me to do the conversation but I'm going to say still alot of moneys

If you have then engine already then

G4 storm maybe 1800

wiring it in ???? ( 600? )

tuning 500

labour 1000?

Ez30 raditor 200 - 350

headers 250

hoses, welding shit that you didn't see coming - 500

basically it's not cheap or easy since these conversations are done everyday and there is most likely hundreds of things that I'm forgetting, if you are thinking of getting it done and have all the money in the world then it's fine therewill e no issue but if you are on a tight budget and time is a factor as in you need the car off the road for the small amount of time then I would put the funds into a bh5 and have some turbo goodness

But then this is all from my experience

Cheers for the reply. I know it's not cheap, especially when you factor in upgrading the brakes and gearbox and getting it certified. I have my reasons for wanting to do this rather than upgrading to a BH or another car.

If it's much cheaper to wire in the factory EZ30D ecu than it is to buy and install a Link then I will go down that route. The problem is that not many people have documented a conversion like this so there isn't much info out there.

yeah because if they are doing the ez conversion is usually the R and not the D and if u want to know the meaning of a bitch then use the factory ECU, everyone that i have spoken to has said dont do it, and just wanting to know do u have any of this already?

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
