Rear diff mount bushings... Where to get and how to fit?

My 99 b4 rsk just failed WOF on one count...

Both rear diff mount bushings are busted. A mechanic told me it will be 80 for parts and then 3-4 hrs labour... That sounds like he's pulling my leg!

Can someone point me in the right direction for (a) buying this part either oem or 3rd party and (b) how to fit, what's involved and level of skill reqd?

Aparently it's a pretty common occurrence in legacies but didn't think it would be a wof fail able offense!

Chers

We did one in b4 last week took us 2 nights a couple of hours a night.

Took diff and subframe out, smashed old bushes out and smashed new bushes in and whacked back together.

Not to hard at all.

80 for the bushes is pretty cheap they retail for much more through subaru

Had to do same on my leggy. I kept asking the Testing guy why is a fail item and he kept going on about hows its a "part of the suspension"

Anyway, its not a easy DIY type job. Involves taking Diff out (i didnt remove whole subframe) removing old bush (i just cut it out with hacksaw) and making up a little jig using a large G-clamp to press the new bush in x2

A box of beers and alot of swearing the job was done.

Next time i'm just going to pay someone to do it.

Winger Sublab quoted me $535 inc GST for labour and parts which I think sounds over the top for such a minor thing (although I guess taking the diff out is a pain). I still don't understand how this is a fail - yeah your diff may rattle around a little more if the bushings are shot but its not going to fricking fall out of the car - especially given I've got an auto and the drivetrain never takes a hard slamming as even at redline and WOT the tranny changes at piss all line pressure.

Anyway I'm trying to source some parts now and a thirsty mate! Anywhere other than Subaru official parts that I could go to save some bucks?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
