where to next?

Hey guys, just finished doing a v7sti suspension swap for (http://www.performancecar.co.nz/build-diaries). Just thinking of my next move. Engine is stock other than a pod filter and cold air box is still being designed (onto version 3 now and still failing:P). Anyone have suggestions for next possible mod other than chainsaws on each corner for when the trees start attacking me again?

Yup, handling is mint! Actually goes around corners. I'm just having trouble deciding whats next on the mod list now :-\

bigger wheels\smaller profile tyres!

siamese downpipe makes a good difference even on a standardish rear system(brads selling his i think??)

manual gearbox??

wrx seats...

copy me i love most of my mods!

Yeah but then my car would look like your sig pic craig ;) Definitely wont touch Nitrous so please no more Nos Nos nos stuff. no interest there. After real useful stuff which I have mostly received so thanks guys. Still haven't made up my mind for the next big $$ mod yet so for the meanwhile I might just replace a few hoses and service it to keep my build diary entries satisfied.

How hard is fitting a siamese downpipe DIY by the way? I dont have access to a lift and only have a few tools. Anyone who can shed light on this will be sent imaginary invisible cookies!

siamese doable in shed (i did mine) decent socket set and alot of crc to get seized bolts off and some gloves to stop skinning your knuckles!!

worst case scenario (like what i did) siamese is too short to bolt up to standard middle section, so i had to take it to a shop to get a new centre section made up.

Yeah and gotta love those arm rests that came in the T/tb's!. Though that said they are somewhere on the list. Craig. Any specific brand or store >to source the downpipe from?

haha would love to turtle but I dont have the required moolah to buy your once pride and joy ;) Might do something of the sort one day with a crashed V7 sti though ::) if I win lotto.

Anyone actually done any research into doing a full GDB WRX --> Forester powertrain swap? Would make a pretty cool "Holy sh!t what was that!" car to passers by me thinks.

well if i manage to find some cash in the next couple months my downpipe may be for sale.....

other than that i just go my downpipe off trade me, came of a gc8 wrx, mine doesn't hit steering universal TOO much, brads on his foz was worse and had to be "modified" to fit using BFH...

IF you can use a WRX Rage 3" downpipe. Those things are great, sorta saimese/bellmouth design, i looooove mine. Got it used off miller for $150, so keep an eye out on the forums and tardme.

But then again, you were wanting something quiet weren't you... hmm.

decent pads and fluid is all thats needed, i can still haul up the foz from 180+ and the only limiting factor is my tyres (and fear of hitting a wall)

for road use i never ran out of brakes but i do engine brake alot on hills etc, brad caught his on fire in his foz but i think that may have been more a technique issue (no offence brad)

i have came down Mt Hutt at breakneck speed in the Foz and never had an issue with brakes, even when there was no cooling snow to help me out!

I do find that i do have to stomp on em a bit harder than the Wrx brakes though.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
