Sti 4 pots calipers and non-abs wrx

Hey guys,

I have got myself some sti 4pot calipers but the have the abs sensor on them, am i able to use these on my wrx which doesn't have abs?

yeah you can its the same hub.... just has a abs provision, i assume you got complete hubs???

Yeah i got complete hubs....which i was planning to swap, so i can just take the sensor out and it will be sweet?

yeah they are exactly the same... just the abs ring on the cv and the sensor is the difference

can i swap the calipers only or is it best to swap whole hub?

yeah you could and your discs of course... but your backing plat behind the disc may be smaller so change that too.

I think i will just swap the whole unit...cv - wheel nuts (I don't own a 32mm socket so CV still attached)

if your goin to do that i would just swap over the easy stuff as cvs can be a right c u n t if you cant hit them off easy they usually dont play nicely

i swaped mine on friday and didnt even think twice about it?

na not at all... i thort it mite just rub as the disc is bigger than original?

Your wrx not have ABS? Will your rotors and callipers still work on my leggy and my ABS still work?? I have a 32mm socket too if you need

its a v1 so id say it wouldnt have abs.... still think you should just change caliper and disc.

I'm buying dubbed up's old rotor's and callipers off him to fit to my NA leggy with ABS. will they fit on my hubs and my ABS still work ok?

yeah the caliper and rotor has nothing to do with abs... the sensor is in your hub and the abs ring is on the cv joint. it will be fine...
