Turbo fitting

Hi people I am looking at fitting a VF26 & a VF27 to my 1995 GT Legacy which as you know has a VF13 & VF14 standard, will the VF26 & VF27 fit straight onto my car? - will there be any issues at all? - e.g. hoses to the intercooler

Would like to know ASAP

Straight bolt up.

However unlike the VF14 the VF27 has no wastegate actuator so you will need to block off hose No: 8 from the solenoid box

Have now pulled the exhaust off my primary and the turbine doesn't feel very free - not sure how free they are supposed to be - the wastegate seems a bit loose inside the housing would this cause boost loss?

Maybe a good time to go with an after market wastegate anyway seeing as you have it all a part?

This is a ball bearing turbo should spin easily with little effort.

Wastegate should be firmly closed via the actuator arm and difficult to open by hand.

I forgot to mention that the previous owner of my car said that he replaced the primary at 160,000kms - now I have just looked at the turbo again and it says it is a VF18, and I presume the secondary - (cant actually see the number on it) which is factory is a VF14 - shouldn't the primary be a VF13? ???

Yes. The original turbo would have been a VF13.So he upgraded to VF18 primary.

No. Overall there is only a small difference between them.
