2001 tt gtb etune vf13secondary turbo (drivers side)

anyone know what this turbo is doing on the drivers side..always thought vf13 was a primary and vf14 was secondary, i'm the first nz owner plus isnt it ment to be vf27 as the secondary ???

Vf13 and Vf 14 come on the 93-95 tt leggys. Vf18 and vf19 on the 'B' spec 96 - 98 and Vf 26 - 27 (i think)on the be/bh. Something seems odd ???

was about to get a vf27 then i saw the vf13 marking's on it and now im really confused!

a 2001 manual should have VF32 as secondary

don't know bout manuals but i'd think it should be the same VF32.

pretty sure 2001 gtb are ment to have vf27secondary but could be wrong i carnt work out why a vf13 is on the drivers side isnt a vf13 on the passangers side.

2001 is a change over year.. Revision C or D? Factory set up for Rev C is VF31/VF32 and Rev D changed the primary from a VF31 to a VF33 giving it a VF33/VF32 combo. It wont have a VF13 on the secondary side unless someone has created a hybrid turbo using a different exhaust housing.

tried to fit a vf14 but wouldn't fit and now i dont want to waste money on another turbo to find out it wont fit....saw a vf27 on tm now i stuck on what i should do ???

Why wont the VF14 fit? All the secondary turbos have the same fitment. That said a VF14 is an old turbo using older technology I would go for a VF27 or factory VF32.

yea was bummed on the vf14 not fitting and can only think it is because its off a early model and am def hoping that the vf27 or the newer one will fit, if anyone knows if the vf14 should or shouldnt fit could you let me know

all i knows is that the secondary (drivers side) turbo that got taken off my sub was a vf13 dammm im stumped! im the first nz owner of the car and have not modded it at all

Will be a hybrid utilising the VF13 compressor cover most likely.

Have a couple of spare secondarys if your keen. VF19 from a BD5 and a VF27 from a BH5.

As I said above why doesn't it fit? Does the turbo that came off run a square flange or the factory Subaru triangle shaped flange?
