Just be careful with changing turbos for different ones on a BE/BH, as some of the turbo have different wastgate spring pressures and can cause over boosting, which wont make the turbo last long.

Think the vf26 primary is the highest flowing one. Generaly the early 98-99 have the highest flow turbo, and the 2000-2002 pre-facelift had the "smaller" turbos for low end spool than mid range power.

2002 facelift were different, but the engine for the "D" type legacys were abit different anyway.

wouldnt the turbo already have the right wastegate actuator on it, just dont change the actuator?

Yep those should be the ones that you've got and as D-Style has said the pre-facelift models had vf26 and vf27

Hopefully I've got my info right
