Hey guys, today my cars ABS light just popped up and now wont go away. I tried a few brake tests and ABS is not working. Any ideas on what it could be.

its a 2000 Sub Legacy B4 RSK

ABS diagnostic check will tell what is causing the warning light

take it to a dealer.

ive got a mechanical and electrical warrenty but wanna see if i can fix it before i claim on it as there is a 250$ excess

Diag check at dealer is easiest (prob charge you bout $50) THE BURGLARS !!!

Then you can decide to put in a claim or not depending on fault

if you pay $50 to get the test get a reseipt, you should be able to claim that too...

its weird sometimes it comes on sometimes it doesnt. Might get soem contact cleaner and clean the ABS plugs

typical charactaristic of wheel speed sensor failing

wire to the speed sensor fault and goes open circuit only with certain suspension movement

even an auto electrician/workshop with a decent scan tool could check all four wheel speed sensors on live data and store them and read back after a test drive... but min of 50 bux for "hook up" charge as stated before.... its a rip off but when the tool costs up to 20k you would want to charge it out too.

just took it for a drive this morning. Very weird thing. Car took a long time to start up .... like 30 secs of cranking. normally its first pop. and now its gone back to first pop start. Also the ABS lights gone away lol for now.
