ALLOY FRONT CONTROL ARMS! IM LOSING THE PLOT

would like to do this to my v2 gf8 wrx with v7 sti gold rims, have the v4 sti gc8 alloy arms with the links 1. is that all i need to do the conversion, would probably not do the free caster mod(2. whats the benefit of do this?)

3. does this mod need a cert?

4, whats the pros and cons of doing this mod?

5. is this mod harder to carry out than changing the backing plate on rear to accept 2pot brake calipers

1) rims are irrelevant to this discussion, you need the lower arms, with the concial insert and the balljoint. The bolts are all the same. You DO need to swap your dog bone drop links for the spherical sort.

2) do your own reading on caster - googles your freind. Dont take offence but if you dont know what it does, dont do the mod.

3) No cert required for an alloy arm swap or free caster mod, anti lift kit mod, OR a roll center adjuster kit thankfully.

4) alloys are thought to be lighter.. they are NOT. what they are is a bit stiffer and if you can get later GD or Spec C ones even, they have slightly better geometry. Again research geometry changes to work out what it does.

5) Both modifications are reasonably simple. As per the NASIOC link above... there are lots of how to's. If you have the right parts for the rear 2pot brake modifcation its not more difficult IMO.. just different.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
