Glass break sensor

Currently putting alarm into my wrx, but dont know if there is a specific place to put the glass break sensor. Its a uniden vs2600xr, if any one knows about it?

nope : mine is near turbo timer/drivers legs

test it by smacking a pair of pliers on another pair/side cutter etc : needs a specific pitch/noise like that to set them off/ audible throughout car pretty easily

mine was near the front windscreen tucked up between the dash and pillar, like where a boost guard usually is and to check it works i used a coin on the windows

I just mounted it inside the dash, like on the plastic in front of dash glass, works a beauty haha, anyone got any idea which is pos and neg door switch wire, dunno how to work it out haha, not handy lol

because according to my mate it changes when you open the door or something.....

I would of thought a door switch was only a 1 wire. Not talking about the actuator by any chance?

nah, ive gotta hook up a pos and neg door switch, then i gotta hook up another three, one for unlock gnd pulse one for 12vdc and one for lock gnd pulse, rather confusing haha

I have the same alarm in mine, i wired the door switch wire to the interior light rather than the switch itself so it works for all doors not just one. For the other 3 (central looking) the best way is to solder onto the existing locking unit. I know in a BG legacy its behind glove box inside the dash, could be different depending on the model.
