Eifel ECU

Hi guys I decided to look at the ECU in my GTB 2000 today - this is the one I\'m selling

And I found out that it has an Eifel ECU in it it also says on it \'\'Prova Concept of the Nurburgring\'\'

What would be the advantages of one of these It doesn\'t really seem to have much more power than my 01 E-tune, still does 1.0bar

Could be a bit hit & miss

That last guys post on nasioc is pretty accurate - *most* generic jap ECU\'s just advance timing, bump up boost, and dump a load of fuel in to make sure the motor doesn\'t self-ventilate the block in a hurry, only so much they can do with a generic tune really.

Plus - is it meant for early (8.5:1) or late (9.0:1) model? Could make a bit of a difference to things.

Normally sell for about $300 mark second hand? Have heard people reckon they can help with reducing VOD and some report more boost - take it with a grain of salt I guess. If it\'s not pinging and goes ok then roll with it - try swapping the ECU\'s between cars and see if you notice any real change if curious I guess?

Could time say 30-100kph in 2nd and see if one out performs the other, and decide which one you keep in the car you\'re not selling ;D

It feels pretty normal to me - it doesn\'t det I do notice it uses more fuel than my e-tune - not neccessarily wanting to take it out - just interested as to what it does
