Cert plate suspension measurement

Just trying to work out where the measurement on the plate is taken from. Mine says 310mm plus our minus 5%. Any one have any idea? thanks

its from the wheel arch to the centre of the wheel, this height wont change with different sizes wheels.

Thought so, the back was set up to the right height but for some reason the front was a good 30mm higher. My c spanners arrived today so have been adjusting the ride height back to the cert plate height on the front. Will now need a full wheel alignment once the mags are on. Anything else ill need to do?

You can see in this photo with the gap in the arch on the front wheel and the car looks like its going up hill.

I would measure from a fixed point to make sure both sides are even. i.e sill to ground, or chassis rail to ground.

Guard heights aren\'t always perfect. and if your a fat bastard like me go 5mm higher on the drivers side

Its got no wheels and its on axle stands, so ive measured from the top plate to the adjustment point and screwed it down 30mm. All being equal that should do the trick, though ill check once its got wheels and is on the ground again to make sure.

Its done alot of adjustment though, so im not sure how it will end up.

No worries about the "fat bastard " part, I should be fine with less than a mm
