Sounds like it needs to have an overhaul.

Poor maintenance can lead to various and similar issues. When this has been dealt with then you can start to properly diagnose.

Yea that\'s what I figured. May aswell replace all the hoses now haha. Anyone know where I can a set of them?

Which hoses?

So far it\'s the inlet and outlet of the bov. And that small air box before it has a slight crack in it

mmm, maybe your BOV is leaking. as a test,

duct tape up the crack in the air baffle box, remove the BOV and block all 3 pipes properly. see if it holds boost.

caution - the rubber turbo intake can be brittle. best to remove the BOV when engine is warm

It\'s all taped now and holds boost quite steady which is. Why I don\'t think it\'s a problem

so there is no BOV and its all sealed off, and no change to your symptoms? we\'ll that at least rules that out

Bear in mind still not 100% if there is a problem as such

If you want I can have a look/drive and see if it feels fine, if it has factory exh/intake etc it can be hard to tell is there\'s a misfire or what have you. I drove a dead stock early VR4 a couple months back and it felt so flat above 5-5500ish it felt like a dud - it was actually in perfect health, just more thats how the power delivery came across on a factory setup (similar vintage... makes sense)

Yea I\'m beginning to think that\'s just how it drives. New problem though with the split hoses. Is there some sort of set it kit I can buy for my model that has a lot of the right size hoses?
