The evo one was fun to drive, but its old age has made me decide to look around for a mint condition evo5. There was an evo6.5 at a local car yard for 16k but it got snapped up pretty quick. Just going to take my time and find a mint one.

There are so many nice subbies around for really great prices aswell.

Just out of curiosity what are the evo 4 looking GSR\'s like. The 1995-2000 1.8 turbo ones.

Are they reliable/fast?

Always been a fan of them for the stealth factor

147kW, same brakes as evo 4, gearbox almost as strong - just 4 stud not 5, pretend recaros instead of gooduns, basically equivalent to WRX of the era same as evo is equivalent to STi

However the same $$ as an evo 4 is so kind of a waste of time unless you want an auto model

Had a few mates with them and they all either end up upgrading to a real evo, or sinking $ into swapping evo motors and bits into the GSR

Big KM\'s for the money and not a "real" sti even if it is badged & rego\'d as such - it\'s missing everything that says it\'s the actual thing apart from a couple of badges

Another couple grand you get a proper one with half the KM\'s (literally there\'s a few i looked at in a 20 second search for V7 STi with less kms and 1k price difference)
