help with radio aerial retracting fault please

Howdy folks,

I\'ve noticed my battery seems to be getting drained overnight lately, and suspect its the radio aerial. The aerial auto-retracts when you turn the car off, and lately after turning car off & walking away I can hear it still trying to retract.

Some questions:

1. Is this more likely to be problem with the radio aerial itself - or the head unit ( I installed headunit myself years ago & wonder if a wire has worked loose)

2. If the problem is the aerial, how do I fix it, is replacement a better option?

car is a JDM MY96 WRX sedan

It will be a fault with the aerial, head unit just sends out a 5v signal when it wants the aerial up and cuts it when it wants it down, if aerial is trying to retract when its already down will be fault on aerial. disconnect wire from back of aerial unit and see if the battery stays charged.

If the aerial is at fault pull it out if you cant obviously fix it, replace it.

Have disconnected the aerial until I can sort it, have charged the battery and it\'s at 12.5volts - what is ideal voltage meant to be?

Anything around 12.7-12.8v and up is fully charged
