Info on 2010 Legacy Purchase

Does anyone have any advice on what to look out for when purchasing the current shape (BM) Legacy? I am currently looking at a 2010 2.5 Legacy.

I will look at the usual stuff and yes I will make sure they do the timing belt and water pump etc for the 100,000km service.

Just wanted to see if there was anything specific to this model to look out for.

get the trans checked, they come with cvt box and see if the cvt oil is in good condition. they cost heaps. cvt oil is lifetime but if driven under harsh conditions i.e towing than it is recommended to be replaced every 40,000kms. check if the car stalls on sudden braking to stop. we have done few of these, o\'ring inside the trans breaks off and fluids leaks internally. torque converters come faulty as well.

engine wise, its pretty strong and we haven\'t had problems with it yet.

Should be fine. With its age and mileage it\'s probably spent its life highway driving. Morrison give you a one year guarantee anyway so you should be fine. Bought my last Legacy of them and they were good to deal with (although they have a history of dodgy trademe sales that led to a hefty fine) and had zero mechanical problems.

Thanks Guys for the advice. Towing should not cause any problems as it currently doesn\'t have a tow bar but will be useful info if I look at any others.
