GTB + 6000rpm = Check engine.

Hay

Just took my GTB for abit of a cobweb blowing out session. As i was in 3rd Gear , about 6000rpm the car stopped revving , and the check engine light came on......And would only drive along nice and steady. But as soon as you got over 6psi , it would stop revving etc. Turn the key off, And start it again , no check engine. but when you go for a boost same thing happens. Only on Secondary Turbo thou. Any help ? Car just has a Pod , FMIC and a Muffler.

why it has could be many things including overboost,knocksensor

do a ECU reset and see how it goes

Just checked the codes.

13 - Cam angle Sensor .... Help ?!?!?!

23 - AFM ........................ Help ?!?!?

66 - Overboost................ Help ?!!!!!

Im not sure about the Cam angle and AFM , ill reset the ECU and see whats wrong with it. Thing is its never down this before ,only today for the first time

Any help in the mean time ?

Just put a new Walbro 255 in , after the standard one decided to die. Took it for a thrash , and yeah #66. So " Overboost" Strange thou, the boost is at 5psi on primary , so pretty sure its poked , but pretty positive the secondary turbo didnt even make it past 11 before it popped the code.. Any help!?

code 66 could be lots of prob.... best of luck

5psi is too low for primary boost ( that lower than w/gate pressure)

I'd be looking at primary BOV, and also secondary BOV
