V7 ENGINE INTO V5

Hi all,

Quick question.

I have a V5 STI ; Will a V7 STI motor fit directly into my V5? Or would i need further components?

Also, if i do put it in will my factory ECU run this fine or would I need a aftermarket one etc?

I need a new engine in my car and the wrecker was swaying more into putting in a V7 engine opposed to using a V7 STI block and my current heads etc.

Also whats fair price for;

1 x V7 STI Short Block

1 x V7 STI engine approx 98kms

Just use the V7 shortie and your heads/ecu/etc with correct head gaskets. Long block will have avcs which will take the matching V7 ecu with rewire or an aftermarket standalone capable of running avcs. Do the timing while youre in there.

I would pay 1k for a healthy sti shortie others pay up to 1.5k but do it all yourself and save a shitload of coin. fbssub1 on here does some good deals on shorties and would trust him more than a wrecker tbh.
