CEL 21, need parts!

Firstly, thank you guys for all the information on this site, I've finally found out what the problem with my car is

The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor is throwing a fault which is simple enough, I'll CRC the connectors and give it a good clean but is that fails I'll need to replace the sensor (might just do that anyway for the sake of being thorough). However, I'm a pom and I have no idea where to buy parts from over here! Is there a company that sells most things or does nay one know of a retailer in Wellington I could order one through? any help would be much appreciated!

Got mine through repco but it cost an arm and a leg..

Check your yellow pages. Maybe try a local wreckers.

Or order direct new replacements from your Subaru dealer. Always worth checking the price there first

As for the know how, I found this site:

which seems to pretty much cover it, if you have the time to take a peek and tell me if I'm along the right lines that'd be great

$70 if I recall,

If yours is an ej20, the coolant sensor is located under the alternator. It is easy to take off, only takes around 15 minutes to replace.

$70 isn't too bad, I was thinking you were talking in the 100's when you said árm and a leg'!

I think mine is the one on the site I linked to, I had a quick look but it was getting dark and I was supposed to be working
