v7 sti boost issue noob

So i got the car back from the mechanics. Unfortunately no fix. They tried a new boost solenoid which apparently didn\'t fix the issue so they didnt replace it. They sealed up some leaks. It runs a little better but have noticed the boost fluctuates. However still boosts to about 1.2 in 1st and 2nd and drops to just below 1bar. 3rd it jumps to 1.5 and then decreases and 5th and 6th it stays solid on 1.5 but doesnt feel like thats what its actually pulling.

Any ideas? I have reset the ECU which didnt have any effect. Thinking I will replace the MAF as that seems to fix alot of other peoples issues. Or just take it to a subaru specialist as it seems to be a bit of a mystery according to the mechanic. However they weren\'t specialised in Subarus or anything.

Cheers, Ben

1.5 bar in 6th should pull

Yeah gave the MAF a clean and it ran alot smoother on to boost but didnt help long term unfortunately. I live in Howick. Have booked it in to subtech for them to have a look at

didnt u go to the mechanics already?

does it constantly have low boost on 3ed/4th gears?

is it always repeatable? (reguardless of time of day or driving conditions - to a point)

i have seen that in a remapped ecu where the boost map was not done right

and i think thy had a tap or something and the guy sold the car and put back to stock and had uneven boost

- just a theory

Yeah i took it to a mates mechanic shop who looked at it but couldnt offer any insight unfortunately. Looks like its running sweet! They checked and cleaned the MAF again cause it was pretty dirty and put it into their computer. Has been running factory boost the whole time which is good to know. They said the boost gauge is most likely faulty as it wasnt showing any fluctuations in boost. Thanks for eveyones help.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
