Broken down in Wanganui need help!!

Is there anyone in the wanganui region that can help me? My sti has decided to shit itself .. Is misfiring and engine light has come on. Need help! Was heading back to Wellington txt or call me on 0275094486 any help would be awesome!

What version/model is it? Do a quick diagnostic check to see what fault code is coming up:

Yeah that won\'t work for the V7 unfortunately.. needs someone with an OBDII scanner, and I doubt the local AA man would have one. A local garage should have one, but of course that means waiting until tomorrow.

Have you been through the engine bay to make sure no plugs are loose, AFM/coil packs/TPS etc.

Got no tools to check .. It\'s sorted now thanks guys. It\'s getting towed to a garage but yeah they can\'t do anything till tomorrow

Do a quick check through the ECU/Sensor plugs in the engine bay, it could be just an electrical connector off or loose at the air box or throttle body.

But let us know what they find after a scan, might be able to get you on the road again a bit cheaper. :-\ (ie AVCS sensor faults, don\'t always need a new $300 sensor)

Airflow meter was stuffed. Getting replaced tomorrow once they receive the part. Bloody annoying!!

Ouch, that won\'t be cheap. Any corrosion inside the old AFM plug, dirty terminal?

I\'m not paying for it car dealership is. it\'s had 4 diff issues and I\'ve only had it for a month n a half!! I haven\'t had to pay a cent tho! Haha ummm I\'m not sure aye. Tried cleaning it with contact cleaner it didn\'t work so guessing it was inside?
