Cross member repair

Hi all,

My cross member under the raditor on my RS Legacy has been bent in a bit and has failed its wof cause of it. Needs to be repaired.

Had one Panel beater advise they could repair it for $400 and another said they can replace for $1750

Anyone have the tools to help out with this in hamilton?

My insurance said they would cover it but they havent given me an answer in the last month about going ahead with repairs (and excess is $500)

Possible to find a good one off a wreck and swap over?

Yeah its replaceable im just quite the novice when it comes to car repairs/cars

Go with the expensive one and pay 500 excess, you would have to unpick the spot welds and weld it back on, you can't just cut it and weld it.

I would be concerned about the quality of workmanship for $400.

You need to get a insurance claim number and then take it in to panel beaters
