BP9 Front end clunk

Hi,

I have a 2005 BP9, there is a clunking from the front end occasionally that is getting very annoying- It usually happens on severe bumps etc but not always. On non quake ravaged roads it doesn't clunk at all. The clunking can also be felt through the foot pedals.

I have looked around a bit but can't find much online about a similar issue, Im going to check the sway bar bushes and end links tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had any good ideas?

Check the lower bolts of the struts are nice and tight

Other wise it sounds like shock will need attention

And the top nut too, also I'd check the swaybar mounts. Can be a few things there.

Spoke to a BP5 owner recently - he had some occasional clunking too, turned out it was a loose nut at the top of the strut.

Bp are really bad at doing lower arm rear bushes as well

Had a guy at work recently whose sway bar linkage had broken…

Probably wouldn't hurt to have your shocks regreased if you can't find the problem, I did mine a while back and fixed some of the noises I was getting.

Ive had a bit of a look, Do these sway bar bushings look stuffed? Apart from that I can't find anything loose without lifting it up.

Are the shocks on these inverted?

All sorted- Front and rear sway bar links were shot, replaced and now its perfect.
