foglight not working

hi all iv just noticed that my fog light dont work! the foglight button is wired into my park lights for some reason. i turn my park lights on and then my fogs nothing hapens and when i turn my park lights off and keep the foglights going the park lights stay on if im makeing sence

so would it be worth me paying some auto sparkey to fix it for me or does any 1 think it coule be some thing simple that i my self could fix. i do have machinical knowlege as i work at pitstop but this has got the beter of me and am geting fed up with it as they must have been working to pass the warrent from vtnz silvia park 1 week befor i perchased the car

The foglight button is wired into your parklights as they go when your foglights are on. It sounds like your fog lights just have blown bulbs!! but it could be something more sinister.......

The foglights will not work unless the parklights are turned on

And i believe that the foglight switch will turn on the parklights mainly so that the rear lights are displayed as well...

first thing I would do is remove a foglight and test the continuity with a test light to see if there is power to the bulbs

then work back

Sorry not to sure.. but have you taken the foglights out and checked the connections on the back, might be some damage there. Also check all of the fuses and relays.... one could have imploded..

i havent managed to pill 1 out yet i had a quick look today bt have to pill all the plastic out from under the car. the foglight fuse is fine. where bouts are the relays for them?

will try pill 1 out on thursday and test the circut

got them working both bulbs where blown nd they where a bitch to get to and replace just hapy there wasnt any real problems.

try replacing them with front mount intercooler piping right behind them. then its a fun task

haha yea i bet. 1 of mine have all redy blown after 2 days are the subis known to blow there fog light bulbs real quick?

Firstly What bulbs did you use (make and wattage)

are they securly mounted(not loose bouncing around)

thirdly check that they are getting a good power supply as bulbs will blow easily if they dont get a steady good power supply

um nt shore they where the exact 1s that same out

they where secure

they look like they where well i wouldnt see y nt. it ownly blew 1 of them the other is still going

One of my units caught fire in a small way. The plastic covers on the spade connectors inside the lamp had melted off and there were lots of scorch marks and brown soot on the lens.

On a BH, the fog light switch dims the instrument cluster/radio/dash lights and switches on the park lights. Park light switch has no effect on the fogs.

Mine blew its bulbs quite often too - maybe one bulb every 6 months.

I removed mine after my last wof fail, dont need them now that my headlights actually work well.

ohk myte cheak that out nxt time i can be botherd changeing them.

that i wouldnt mind but after 2 days that kinda ****** off

tempted to remove them but to much effort at the moment
