96GTB TT Problem

Hi!,

Iv got a 96 GTB TT and it's really shaky at the lower rpm and idle but seems to go away at higher rpm (2000-3000) , i think i may have knocked the exhaust on a jutter bar and it makes more vibration than normal,

*the engine is shaking at idle but smooths out when accelerating

*i can sometimes hear a "pop" out the exhaust when shifting.

*it has lost a bit of power and it doesn't boost properly.

*it has no check engine light.

wanting to know if the exhaust could cause these symptoms or the engine? or any other info thanks!!

EDIT; It has unburnt fule comming from the muffler when warm, dose this suggest my car isnt burning the fuel? my first thought would be either the HT leads or coil(s).

do you know the state of the sparkplugs ?

dose take awhile to turn over sometimes, will check them

I';d say its running on 3, like the time I knocked a coil plug off, lumpy cam style idle & **** fuel econ [98 BG GTB]

yeah sounds about right, the fule econ is **** now, could you please tell me where the coil plugs are, sorry for being noob, much appreciated

on the coils

they are on the spark plugs, two on ether side of the motor

have it running, unplug one at a time (if you find them are confident) use insulated pliers is a good idea, few thousand potential volts etc, unplug one at a time, the one the doesnt affect the idle will be your culptrit
