Tyre Time (non Subaru)

Recommended Posts

Purchased a new car 1 week ago from dealer fitted with Yokahama ECO DNA ES300, they are 4 years old (based on sidewall marking) with about 40% wear and discovered yesterday they had cracks running around the circumference on all the outer water channels.

Anyway my goto tyre (Falken ZE912) isnt available in the size I need 245/40/19 so looking at what options I have in the $200-$250 per tyre range.

I thought id found some good ones, but every review I read has about 70% good and 30% negative reviews so its hard to actually gauge if its a good tyre or not.

So far ive considered

Nankang NS20

Hankook Ventus V2

Achilles ATR Sport 2

Delinte D7 Thunder

But cant decide.

car is a family car (Nissan Fuga 450GT) mainly used for town and occasional monthly open road trip, although not a true performance car it does have 250kw and is RWD so ideally would need some grip.

Leaning towards the Delinte D7...any other suggestions ?

Also looking at some Eagle F1s on Trade Me, apprently 2/3 fitted to car for a "photo shoot" no travel. But at $300 for 3 it sounds too good to be legit.....thats a $450+ tyre to buy retail.

Good deal or dodgy ?

The LS588 seems to get some great reviews. Landsail...apparently made by the same company as Delinte D7 and supercedes it.

Im weary of chinese tyres as ive been burned by them on a car I brought (Westlake and Linglong ie deathtraps).

The Delinte and Landsail have received accolades and awards in European tests and also Las Vegas autoshow, the CEO also seems committed to shaking up the market

I can get Delinte D7 for $158 per tyre and Landsail LS588 for $200...

If they are as good as Falken ZE912 id be very happy at that price.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
