97 GTB strange noise from R/R

This may be a little vague so I apologise in advance. Havnt owned car for long but have jus noticed that between 2600rpm n 2900rpm that there is a strange, almost wind like sound coming from the right rear of my car. If I slightly button off then it recedes, then gas on a bit and it comes back, all around the 2800rpm mark.Does this in all gears and I have tried loosening off the fuel cap in gas theres pressure ?

Fuel pump maybe,hoping this is just common as its starting ta get a little iratating

Well there's nothing down that corner that even remotely relates to engine speed. Are you sure its the right rear?

Whats the condition of your exhaust like? No exhaust leak??

yep def right rear. Exhaust seems fine, just had diff back muffler added.

I know its a random but thought just maybe someone had come across it.

Alomst sounds like the noise of the 'fasten seatbelts chime' that you get when flying in a plane but gets slightly more high pitched as you get closer to 3000rpm and then abruptly stops.

Have you had someone sit in the boot and listen for it and try to locate it?

No I havnt, mite be worth a go. Where is the fuel pump on these?

The access hatch is behind the R/R seat.

Could always be left rear? cause that's where the exhaust valve servo thinginie lives, if the GTB has one equipped.

My servo made crazy noises, but i only ever noticed it at the traffic lights.
