Help, fellow welingtonians!!!!

So my sister bought my brother-in-laws 96 RS, mint car by the way.

She took it in to a sublab in town to get it serviced. A couple of weeks later she 3g's me and says the car wont start.

She pops the radiator cap and it looks rusted and empty, like there is no sign of any coolant in there.

So, is anyone able to do a flush of some kind to get rid of the rust and fill it up again with coolant please? or tell me what she needs to purchase and how to do it?

ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

mine is doing similar at tje moment - I place bet now split radiator hose/tank.... (sorry all the help I am to you..

could be worse - guy I know sold their work van to their workers B-friend (turbo deisle Mitsi) he rings up same afternoon saying (1st) gearbox has broke - wants refund

calls back a few hours later and has had is mech. look at it and now says its BEB! still wants refund.... douche

he actually got $500 back and asked to sign waiver to say now agreement IS as is where is and no further comeback etc.... (seller is almost as much of a good guy as me - we wont screw you over!)

Head into an auto store - get a radiator flush, follow the directions on the back of it

otherwise if that is too hard, then buy the radiator flush and i'll have a look at it. What service did they do?

I can have a look at it at some stage if you really want..

It will be rusty because it was leaking and they've kept filling it with plain water.

Basically find the leak first, then flush it later. You'll struggle to remove all the corrosion. Its hard to remove once corrosion has set in.

hey easiest way to find leak is to fill it up with water wait till it gets up to temp.

while looking under bonnet give it a few revs you should be able to see where its leaking.

are you sure its not the water pump seals?

im not sure why the car wont start. do you have fuel spark and air.

had the car been over heated. if so it might be seized. (i hope not)

mine split a radiator hose while my wife was driving so she kept driving????

and it done a big end. :'( :'( :'(
