1 point in compression would not do it....I think,(could be wrong)

The afm still reads air flow=voltage to ecu fuel input.The ecu only dumps in the amount needed then advances or retards acordingly to octane and all that.(not nessacerally in that order)

I would think of the things that can affect fuelling....fuel reg reading vac incorrectly or stuck or a map sensor going flat out.

Or the injectors are not working right.

I have seen big daves foz before he upgraded and it was heavy on fuel then,running 14 psi.

black smoke

fuel gauge goes to "E" too fast

Too many fuel stops on a road trip

AF ratios out of the normal range

petrol coming out the tail pipe

fouled out sparkplugs
