  1. AGREED ! Granted it's useful in an automated/ dual-clutch manuals like VAG's DSG or BMW DCT but in a manual 3-pedal car it's just for posing wankers who can't drive properly.
  2. From the latest episode http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/29/video-the-superest-of-supercar-shootouts-bugatti-veyron-vs-mc/ Full episode http://www.wisevid.com/view_video.php?viewkey=ktniuktpla7p96a78787#
  3. So that's where your old Tv went.
  4. He's also probably the only FXX owner who gets to take his car home and drive it when he wants to.
  5. They would have recovered their costs a long time ago through sales building up to this latest jackpot. Lotto= stupidity tax.
  6. http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/vehicle-ownership/buying.html#selling
  7. Forget the Soobs, look over the Honda listing and you'll find TWO Mugen Civic Type RR's and an early NSX-R. ;D
  8. Nice documentation. Just like a local Detailing World.
  9. Schu = Stig only for that episode. Most likely the only way Ferrari would let them have an FXX was with Schu at the wheel.
  10. Yep. No 9000rpm redline, no 6-speed gearbox, probably no 280km/h either.
  11. Latest series, Season 13, freshly purloined from the Beeb. First episode unmasks The Stig ! ;D http://s13.alluc.org/tv-shows.html?mode=catdetails&id=115347&navpath=
  12. Frak me, how could I forget The Italian Job and The French Connection ??? Damn madcow taking hold... Add Speed Racer if you want your eyeballs cooked.
  13. A classic fake. I'd recommend, not mentioned prior, in no particular order, all available on DVD; Grand Prix, best F1 film ever. Le Mans Winning Vanishing Point Duel The Driver The Power and The Glory, a BBC series from yonks ago on the history of motor racing
  14. Yes, you definitely need wider tyres. The stretched out drifter look is not cool on Soobs.
  15. Nice and discreet. Early model so NO Super-Idiot Drive !
  16. Nothing with wheels is sacred. Lost count of the many defiled old Euros I've seen. Plus several modded numptymobiles like 1st gen. Toyota Prius, Hyundais.
  17. That's pretty close to stock Subaru 16 and 17 STI wheels, both +53 offset. With 7.5" 205 will be stretched out so stick with a 215/40-17; 40 will be closer to std rolling diameter and feel sharper than a 45-series. Do you really need super lows ?
  18. Gay. Why do people persist in defeating the purity of lightweight cars like a Spec C by adding ugly bodykits etc. Remember that awful red one with the huge chommies ?
  19. A- None of the above. 215/40-17 is closest in overall diameter to the factory 205/50-16. If you get guard rub with 215, the equivalent 205 would be a 205/45-17. Whether that is the best size is also dependent on your 17" wheels (width ? offset ?). Some useful calculators here; http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/tires.html Deviate too far from the original rolling diameter and you change the gearing and speedo accuracy. 205/40-17 will effectively lower your gearing resulting in better acceleration but lower top speed.
  20. Bear in mind the Nasoic write-up relates to LHD cars, some of the plumbing is different to our RHD Soobs.
  21. Dude, this is not a simple bolt-in job. There were several threads on old CS, now gone into the static so... http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Knowledge/STi8IntercoolerOntoMY00Classic
  22. Should be usable as long as the mounting holes line up. Those US brackets are pretty expensive though. I'd stick with DIY
