  1. It sounds to me like he has fucked up... Take it back and get him to fix it....
  2. If you have the link stop fucken around with it and save for the tune. If i see another one of these threads from you your gonna get a warning.
  3. Whaaaaaaaaappppp pishbhhhh brrrr whaaaaappppppp pishhhh.
  4. I like the doors.. Pushing the boundries.
  5. You cannot diagnose low refrigerant lvel by seeing if the compressor speeds up when it is running.. Gauges and reciever/dryer sightglass is the method that should be employed...
  6. Should be on the passengers side right beside the intercooler. Bolts to a tab on The manifold. That could be your issue dude.... To check use a jumper cable from the manifold to the battery - terminal.
  7. Check your manifold earths....
  8. I had a speedlabs chip in my RS. Ran fine. I ran 15lb on greys on the racetrack. Never had an issue.
  9. I think the mounting tabs are the wrong way round..
  10. Pfft... The driver will be the limiting factor.... Stop driving like a bitch and floor the fucka!!
  11. Suspension Tech in Auckland dude.
  12. Might seem silly.... Replace or clean your sparkplugs. You may be surprised.
  13. Honestly mate unless you go to the point of removing pretty much every box and duct under the dash. Best idea is just to wack the fan on full and feet until most of it comes out.
  14. I think our SVX is already booked on the DOBC cruise for that day.
  15. Haha no dramas dude. Just get a little annoyed by cowboys that give real tradespeople a bad name. Refrigeration is one industry that should have been regulated years ago. There is too many guys out there playing with things they have no idea about.
  16. Na mate... I stepped out if the trade a little while ago. Traded my gauges for a white shirt..
  17. Hey Koom. Yeah the biggest place for gas loss in car ac is the compressor shaft seal. It is a carbon /ceramic seal lubed by the compressor oil. Back in the good old days it was common for systems to leak when the ac was not used for 6 months and when the system was turnd on the compressor pumped it\'s oil out and siezed. This only happened on he very early systems though. Designers quickly learned to put in safety pressure switches that prevented the compressor starting if the pressure in the system was too low. So it is vurualyy impossible these days to sieze an auto ac compressor. Running your ac once a forntight for ten min lubes the seal and prevents gas leakage. I use mine all he time for defogging the windows... Turn heater to hot and turn on ac. You will be shocked how much quicker it works.
  18. Hey dude.. Do you run your a/c like weekly? If not the is a real possibiliy that the compressor shaft seal has dryed out and that will be where your leak is. A shop should be able to spot it as soon as they throw the gauges on.. If the system is just low in refrigerant the should reclaim what is left vacuum the system and dump a full weighted charge of new refrigerant in. And do a leak check of the system to make sure it is gas tight. If the gas completly gone ie at atmopheric pressure. They will need to put a trace amount of refrigerant to leak check and boost the to operating pressure with nitrogen. Perform a leak check to look for a major leak and once found repair. Fit a new reciever dryer Then evacuate(vacuum pump) the system and dump a new weighed charge of refrigerant into the system.
  19. Wrong... Air in a refrigeration system creates moisture which reacts with the refrigerant and oil breaks down and produces acid which eats the system from the inside out. That is why refrigeration Systems have "dryer" cores piped into systems to capture any moisture present.
  20. Refrigeration engineer. 20years in the trade. Specializing in commercial, industrial , transport and defence aviation flight A/C systems. If your "topping up gas" you are sloppy. No system these days should ever be "topped up" with refrigerant. And compressors "run dry" when enough refrigerant has leaked out of the system and the compressor pumps oil out into the system to try and balance out the lack of refrigerant in the system. This does not happen on modern car ac systems as the system has a low pressure switch on the "low" side of the system to protect the system. If a system is gas tight it should never need to be serviced. EVER. The reason you need to run the ac monthly is to lubricate the carbon/ceramic seal in the fromt of the compressor.
  21. A/C only needs servicing when it stops doing what it should.. Check all your fuses before you take it in for repair. Best advice is to run your ac at least once a month. Stops gas leaks.
  22. It\'s a bit more that just that dude..... Pm x.....
