  1. On a vaguely related note. Getting impatient as I cant find a BP I like, missus is not adverse to WRX wagon apart from the bigger scoop (compared to a leggy) Front mount with std Imprezza bonnet will work? (has sleeper appeal to)
  2. Doesn\'t appear to be bargains galore on Tardme so I\'m looking at Japan, questions questions... Apparently only 2006 or later will get a cert due to NZ emission regs? True or false? They also seem \'quiet\' compared to BG/BH, is this just the std twin pipe setup? Assume a BP will take the equivalent years WRX/STI short shifter setup?
  3. Slight alteration to master plan In two or three years look for 2nd hand BRZ... with blown engine
  4. Front is fixed, rear goes up/down and back/fwd, No leaks, no rust either
  5. More info via Toyspeed: They went down a bank up the port hills (Dyer's Pass Road) on a test drive, sales person was with them at the time, said they tried to take a corner at around 60kph and took it to wide, hit some road grit and lost it, hit a couple of trees on the way down, lucky to be alive It was definitely the demo. Driver took at 25km/h corner at 60km/h (which is pretty agressive up on the hills) went a little wide, hit some gravel and off he went. Happened on Sunday. Both driver and sales rep are okay.
  6. Welli Goes great but needs front tyres and a windscreen to get a warrant (the currently cracked screen is my free insurance job) I'd rather spend the money on a BP GT than a warrant... Also have drivers side seat rails so you can get rid of the 50Kg electric seat and drop in some B spec Leggy or WRX seats
  7. Quick troll through tardme for the bits you would likely need to get it up and running so it doesn't break the first time you drop the clutch (gearbox, clutch and diffs etc) you could be looking at $2K in just those parts... Obviously anything less than that figure is a win for you, plus you get a whole carload of other bits you will undoubtedly need Make me an offer!
  8. I'm on the lookout for a manual GT BP wagon right now so the BG is ready and waiting for ya scoobygt...
  9. I'm about to sell my 5sp BG GT, body is a bit tired You could probably take it off my hands and get all the parts you need for less than the parts you are after... Has a brand new radiator and thermostat, spares std cat back exhaust (in case your warrant shop objects to the big bore), spare drivers side electric window master switch etc. etc. BH 17"s, STI short shifter installed plus blitz boost gauge and timer I never got around to fitting
  10. 92, you sure its a BG? If it has electric drivers seat you will need to obtain a std seat rail, WRX seat should bolt straight on from there.
  11. Or get a short shift kit installed as it has the bushes (I scored a 2nd hand STI unit from Strong for $85), instant upgrade
  12. This might help Full article here, apologies if its a repost http://autospeed.com/cms/title_The-Subaru-EJ20-Turbo-Guide/A_2775/article.html
  13. Bugle

    code 66???

Had 66 issues on my BG, believe its 'too much or not enough boost' helpful diagnosis... Replaced BOV (that was not opening) sorted
  14. You should be able to change at 6999 (or 7499 in a B spec) and get the clutch out before it drops too far down the rev's and hands back to the single turbo? My BG has a short shift but I dont recall not being able to do that with the std shift setup
  15. Change gear at 4000 RPM or 6999 RPM, all the rest is voodoo and guesswork...
  16. In Soviet Russia Subaru STI, ah, um Yeah I have nothing, but they clearly like their Subeis so all is goodness
  17. Agreed, quickish, practical, slightly thirsty. Unbeatable road trip wagon if you have MTB's etc. Another plus, the range and availability of spares for BG Legacy is epic. My last trip to pick a part there were 10+ BG's waiting to be harvested for common bits
  18. Didnt have time to DIY it (cause said bleeding is a pain in the butt) and double checked with the workshop they had, they had some thoughts about vents not opening behind the dash. Still WIP
  19. Had similar issues on my BG when the BOV was on the way out (not opening properly) messes with the transition from single to parallel
  20. Same issue in my BG, just had the radiator replaced etc and it's made no difference
  21. Not the rear wiper assembly, my 2 cents
