  5. I a little surprised we cant get aftermarket steering wheels with air bags. Imagine there are economic reasons I miss my proper Momo (the Subaru OEM ones really dont compare)

Seems the boys in the workshop were either on the crack pipe or there are some communication challenges on the floor... \'Big gap\' turns out to really mean \'wont fit\' (for several reasons, as ever if you want something done properly do it yourself) The STi callipers are clearly for ventilated rotors, apparently a feature my bugeye does not have. The bolt holes are in the right place but there is not enough clearance to fit the STi calliper between the mount plate on the back of the hub and the rotor These are the current callipers, std Impreza items rather than WRX? So it appears I will need ventilated rotors and hub upgrade?
  7. Existing setup is whatever rotor/hub/caliper combo a turbocharged JDM v7 GGA leaves the Fuji Heavy plant with, its stock other than a few bits I\'ve bolted on in the last few months Any pointers on where part numbers would be located would be grand, and I will check the \'sidedness\'
  8. Bog std STi 2 pots from a v7 STi wagon I don\'t think the issue is with the calipers funkytown, calipers are calipers. I\'m picking I have some wacky JDM GGA hub/axel combo hence my desire to pull the wheel and existing caliper off and do some detective work/seek advice from those who have far more of a clue than me

  10. Didn\'t install STi rear callipers on the WRX, they don\'t fit :\'( Big gap between calliper and hub when calliper mounts on rotor Clearly not all v7/GG rear hubs are the same ??? Arrrgh
  11. Yes, and they will bolt straight on as the mount is universal. Get the STi diffuser and y pipe as well, the std WRX y pipe is horrible and the diffusers are quite different Getting the gearbox dipstick in and out afterwards is a bit of a bitch though (small price to pay and you shouldn\'t need to that often anyway) Heres what it will look like
  12. Exhaust gasket for te warrant. Why have I never cut my own gaskets before? The sheet cost me less that the petrol to drive to 3 different repco\'s who didnt have the gasket I want in stock despite what their computer system claims, and I have enough left to cut 3 more Next step install STi calipers

  14. So leaky tail lights are a BH \'thing\'? A friend has one and asked the question, didn\'t think much of it until I was behind one last night with water sloshing around in both tail light assemblies (lights seemed to be going fine though) So how does it get in and how does one fix it?

  17. The std BG5 rotors are pretty meaty, been driving round in my TT for 10 years and had them skimmed once (very recently) in that whole time...
