  1. 1. GFB Mach 2 Recirc BOV - Don't bother, the stock ones hold fine 2. Grimmspeed 3-port Boost Solenoid - Good plan 3. AdrenalinR Muffler - Try fix some of the in cabin resonance - Sure why not though it isn't really dyno related 3. K&N Typhoon short ram Intake and intake silence delete - Not sure if this is the best intake to get, any ideas? - Leave the stock one there 4. Any aftermarket wastegate actuator to fix the wastegate chatter and provide better response - Not sure which one to get yet. - Are you sure that's actually a thing... I'm not I'd add fuel pump and FMIC to the list
  2. Just be careful Anything 02 onwards is different to the early generation From 98-02 while they do use an OBD plug, none of your normal OBD bluetooths or cables etc will read it I have one of those cables in my glove box, I'll send it down to you if you want. I don't have much use for it and I'd hate to see you be another one who wastes money on a "maybe" I've plugged my bluetooth one into my car and no go, despite it being the later gen protocol
  3. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/tools-repair-kits/meters-testers/auction-988157750.htm This is what you want Plug into phone no, into laptop yes
  4. I was like "yep, AFM" until you said you'd ruled it out. It very very commonly dies on this model and is not consistent in how they fault out, more often than not there's no error reported either When you unplug the 02 sensor does it give a CEL for it?
  5. Wut Park in garage, walk away, potentially be ready to jump it when you get back and rage about the half coffee you forgot you left in the centre cupholder 2 years sure, 2 months isn't anything to get worked up about
  6. Outback springs: Higher ride height, softer spring, weird looking car with it's bum in the air If you wanted stiffer with stock height you need to look at maybe chamberlains or similar to get some to suit?
  7. Those things generally don't come off. They're 95% of the time also redundant anyway (they're almost always for the japanese toll system stuff, not your actual aerial) The heater element if yours has it is a yellow/orange looking strip around the wiper blades
  8. Ok so at the moment you're trying to diagnose a problem which may not even exist Get a gauge on it, and see if there is even anything wrong at all
  9. It normally ends up being the same $$ per km, buuuuut you get a healthier motor in the bargain Mr Leone - maybe, possibly, not gonna bother they're too much $$ to bother with it (cheaper to go single than buy another VF32/33). VF27's on the other hand are like $50 so it's a no brainer to do it
  10. No, not so much It's only just waking up at 2500, you feel a "dip" as it switches the second one on at around 4-4500, then both are awake after that
  11. Lel Car runs perfect apart from it doesn't
  12. Good, is worth doing Andy - still driving it till insurance signs off. I'll text ya
  13. (might need to move the alternator to get to all the bolts?) Lifting the inlet mani makes things so much easier, just undoing the 8 bolts securing it to the block alone gives maybe an inch of leeway - and as my ex said another inch would make ALL THE DIFFERENCE MARK Lel
  14. Drove mine into a suzuki at about 5kph (haha) a) Good thing it's insured, I'm up for a new bumper, bonnet and prob straightening out a couple bits. Super minor prang however alloy bonnets don't un-crease well it seems b) looks like I can get my facelift bumper painted & on the semi easy way now. One of those ones with the wanky "B4" sticker and canard bits I've always wanted Also on an unrelated note, definately gained some horseys with new downpipes, peaked at 294g/sec and haven't re-tuned to suit yet. It does feel healthier all over, wooo (either that or I've gained an air leak) Now I'm out of things to do to it without actually getting my hands dirty
  15. I would be expecting to see it proven working Also, not stolen Also, a link isn't very JDM. Remember you need to factor in the cost of a tune as well, I wouldn't trust whatever unknown map is in it
  16. Unbolt it, move it to the side, don't undo the lines themselves
  17. Lets... Let's not call it Markys Meat
  18. If in doubt, a jigsaw will fix all 600x280 will fit in behind the bumper, just. Your foglights won't survive either. 500 wide will look a bit silly cause it's smaller than the opening I think my last one had a 600x300 and it fitted fine, since you have that bottom lip on yours it'll be sweeeeeet That said the bumper reinforcing bar might not like it, better to maybe go wider but shorter if given the choice. The top 100mm of it is obscured by the bumper anyway. You need to trim away a fair bit of material but nothing drastic Have a look at how AJT did his, could be an idea? Wish I'd done mine the same, it's very subtle
  19. This isn't a "legacy" question for what it's worth To be fair it's more of a "make up your own mind and do some research" one Are they the same price? Are you happy with 5 year old gear as opposed to new? Do you fold or crumple? So many choices What is it you're trying to achieve - an amazing blow your ears sound system or just something better than stock? A decent head unit and speakers does the job for 90% of people just fine
  20. We should like totes do something There's enough of of us here and I want to put names to faces I have zero idea of what/when/where but that's easy
  21. Welcome bay road FTW Or failing that the 1.5km time trial to the pap hills quarry. Lots of good echoey opportunities
  22. Got new 2.5" downpipes installed yesterday, found they don't quite mate to my old exhaust (it's close enough to work tho), drove to work with an exhaust 3 feet long Somewhat noisy
