  1. Behind/below the HU is what my plan will hopefully turn out like. My Sony double din one which is full depth in the top half has nothing down low so should have a heap of space for the amp there. No idea on heat rejection but guess D type amps are pretty good in that department anyway.
  2. I'd try the tap first using all new vac lines. That'll confirm it is something to do with the solenoid/electrical side rather than mechanical. Is the solenoid a factory one or a 3-port? Do you still have all the restrictor pills in place?
  3. Are you sure everything is wired and plumbed up correctly? Have you also confirmed in the ECU ROM what it is actually aiming to make? Seems like a super weird situation. Running wastegate pressure will just hold around 7psi the whole way so won't tell you much. Probably worth disconnecting the solenoid and putting a boost tap in instead to see if it makes boost fine that way to start with.
  4. This amp has been at the top of the options for my new setup. The auto setup using the mic to actually read the sound characteristics of the car is super cool to be bundled with a moderately priced amp. A separate processor is well past what i’d consider as I'm only after a reasonably basic system and don't think I'd actually make use of it properly so I've been tossing up this and a standard mini amp behind the dash from Sony or Alpine pushing 45-50w rms.
  5. I definitely wouldn't get them to use the factory speakers but there are a few options that look like they'd fit where the factory one goes in the housing. I've been eying up the Polk DB series coaxial's. I've got the more expensive MM series in the Legacy and besides not a lot of bass they are bloody brilliant so hoping the DB’s might be similar.
  6. Does yours have tweeters currently? Mine doesn't have them and I'm considering just flagging the idea of getting the factory mount and running coaxial's in all 4 doors.
  7. Surely they'll have a hard time damaging the more solid STI dash
  8. @Niran Is just about the biggest car whorree around I reckon 😂
  9. Duplicolor. Isn't perfect up close as two of the pieces actually have some pretty serious crazing that has left a bunch of lines going across but not the end of the world for now.
  10. First attempt at tinting the taillights. Probably went a bit too dark and it seems to have a slightly blue hue to it that I'm not really sold on yet. Better than full chrome at least.
  11. Interested to see what difference that quilt material makes, I’ve got some adhesive closed cell foam to put in at some point too.
  12. Who was it? I'd be keen to get mine properly done
  13. Shot in the dark but you might find a menu in there like the 4th gens to turn off the GPS clock
  14. I've been led to believe the XForce one is one of the quietest out there, plus the cheapest so may be the way to go.
  15. None of those ones in there exactly match up as I was looking into this for wiring a Link ECU to my car. Some things would match one service manual and others to another one so not exactly reliable. Have you thought about contacting I-wire services. Try do a lot of random conversion looms so might be able to help you out. https://www.iwireservices.com
  16. SAS are the usual go-to for Subaru tuning in the CHCH area. Prestige in Wellington are good too but that means a trip on the ferry which isn't particularly cheap.
  17. Mine has 255/35 050+’s on it and they seem to be super capable tyres. No issues in the rain but snow down south may be another story.
  18. @WayneM there is a bit of a group buy going on for Ultrex stuff on the Legacy Loonies FB page if you want to get in on that.
  19. Awesome result. Guess me doing injectors ahead of the tune made the difference with peak torque. Interesting that the final drive ratio is different to mine, do you know what gear it was in?
  20. It'll most likely look a lot better after a decent wet sand and clear coat but in reality they are pretty far gone. Might be easier to try find a set from a wrecker that has seen a lot less sun in their life
  21. Ultraracing looks to make one, pro-wholesale in Tauranga should be able to source it since they do other ultraracing parts. http://ultraracing.my/ecatalog/index.php/product/subaru-impreza-v-7-wagon-2001-2003-rear-strut-bar-rear-tower-bar/
  22. Worth confirming that they can ship right now. Some stuff is getting turned around and sent back to suppliers over in the US right now
  23. With the plugin ECU you need to run a canbus wideband. Standard ECU’s probably have it built in. You’ll want to talk to possums about how many spare inputs there will be on a plugin ECU before going crazy with extra sensors. You can get a canbus module for temp stuff but haven't seen a pressure one.
  24. Buy this. It was developed by DTech Dave and the guy who started EMTron, almost identical to the official EMTron one but without the big name pricetag. https://hv-electronics.myshopify.com/collections/hv-products/products/hv-lambda-to-can-single-channel-module-with-pin-kit I've also got two of these to install but haven't got around to working out how to wire up just yet. https://www.msel.co.nz/epages/motorsportelectronics.mobile/en_NZ/?ObjectPath=/Shops/motorsportelectronics/Products/SENBOSTP10 Turbo speed is always a good one to monitor with EFR’s too. Don't the flex fuel sensors usually have a fuel temp sensor as part of it?
