  2. Hey fellow subaruists Just trying to get an idea on what sort of power i should I have my GTB with a vf30 and a g4 otherwise stock did 160kw atw on around 13 psi. What you think is this good ? should I ask my tuner for more boost? feedback much appreciated

Hi, I live in hamilton but my father lives in christchurch, we both have subarus I have a single turbo GTB and he has a REV D b4 , I have recently been to visit him and he showed me that when hes turning into car parks and doing U-turns ect, there is a real bad shudder and a banging noise and a whining noise in cabin that changes depending on the cars speed ,this only happens when the cars been driving for about 20 mins and is fully warm . I suspect the centre diff is sutffed, He needs to take it to a mechanic that is good with Subarus in the Christchurch area and that has a courtesy car or something. Any recommendations?
  4. with the link you might need to wire in a map sensor and a air temp but I think the rest of the loom can be used not sure though
  5. hell yeah, I reckon the twin turbo swap is possible but unnecessary. A wrx donor would be probably easier or a single with a link
  6. so my dad has just bought a REV D be, just wondering if anyone in the chirstchurch area knows about reflashing them. and if they do how much etc.
  7. i mean if i just use the map and evc with my link ill be fine?.. on the evc one end to waste gate and one to turbo?, and the map just piped with vac line to the mani?
  8. heres my dumb question, I\'m using the MAP from my BBod for my single turbo link ecu conversion... what does the MAP get t\'d into is it just the manifold?

  11. How Do you so this, this is my first time on a subaru..such a noob. Also my engine is seized ( cant turn it over with a strong bar)
  12. trying to pull the motor out of my bh, everything is unbolted but the engine just really doesn\'t want to separated from the box anyone got any tips? tried for a couple hours to get it out last night and it just wont come off , can seprate it slighty but as soon as you relieve pressure it snaps shut. ???
  13. This is some good information, I\'m planing on using map sensor and ecv is there anything else I need for the link will both the map and boost controller work without more parts?
  14. So im doing this same conversion using a vf30 and I\'ve bought a G4+ atom to run it... Should hopefully go well, just trying to pick peoples brains on here.. so any tips for people who have done this conversion., esp oil return line..

So i have a bh that Im converting to single turbo using a vf30 ,split fuel rail and yellow injectors with a 500hp pump, I have bought a G4+ atom and Im planning on using the map sensor that comes in the bbod, http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,41358.0.html diagram here Im hoping the ecu can be wired into the existing loom, Im no electrican so I\'ll be looking for some one to do this, just looking to pick some brains at cost info as I am steadiy approaching the ecu intsall and tune phase of my single turbo conversion.

  18. So if I understand correctly I need an intake air temp And there\'s a map sensor I can use in my bbod?.. as far as boost solenoids can I. Use that to control boost?

Im doing a single conversion with a vf30 and full v5 sti intake manifold, have bought a G4+ atom and I am just wondering if you have any knowledge around whether or not it can be wired in or needs a full new loom made to suit the converison. Also the map/maf sensor can I just use an normal airflow meter. my power goal is 200kw atw
  20. You would be correct sir, just got my mate to try move it while I watched the outputs for the front wheel can just see one inner c.v spinning in place
  21. My BH was only doing 10 until I replaced the pressure to sensor by the alternater and did the hose 10 thing now I\'m getting 12 and 14
