I think its a V1 STI RA. Only going on a V2 that i used to have back in the UK, granted mine wasn't a RA but the V2 was a red top manifold and the intercooler wasn't as cantered over as it is in the pictures. But looks like a minter...... :)

Might it be the crank sensor as i used to have similar problems with My96 STI back in the UK.....

Have you have the rack and pinion steering looked at..? Also may be track rod ends..?

Im thinking of upgrading my current mags from 17's and going up to 18's Im just wondering if the ride will be any harder than it currently is and will the following size fit without having to roll the arched etc..... 18 x 8 with a 48 offset and Stud Pattern is 5 x 100 Oh yeah to fit a 1998 STI Type R Thanks to one and all in advance for your advice.....:cool:

Sorry to jump in on your thread fella..... Im thinking of going from 17" alloys and going up to 18" alloys.... My question is..... Is the ride any better,worse or no difference than on 17's..?? Thanks

Agreed with above i have all my motors GPS tracked........:) Yup its $25 a month but in my opinion worth every cent for piece of mind.......:)

I came down Greys Road from the Haywards to Plimmerton this evening between 1715 and 1800 hours and unfortunately didn't see anything sorry but I'm on that road most days so ill keep an eye out..... I hope you get it back in one piece soon......

Do you know what the PCD is....?? If my memory serves me right the Impreza pre 2000 the pcd is 5x100.
