  1. Would love to go out but I've got other plans. Have fun and hopefully the fog clears. Get some photos if you can
  2. My Mrs' Mazda does the same. Been meaning to chamfer the back edge to see if it helps
  3. Do you need the cable from the OBD2 outlet to usb plug? I have a cheep Ebay/Trademe one. Not sure if it will wInsert other media ork but you can give it a go. I think its a Vagcom cable.
  4. Sweet. Will look into that. Would be good to find out what sort of power it's putting out too. Should be getting some extra cash in the next month or so. Will get it booked in then.
  5. Technically it's the correct turbo and ecu combo. But yeah will need to get a wide band to check. Pretty sure you can't tune these ecu's.
  6. Would 12psi on stock 10 psi ecu be much of an issue with air fuel ratios? And do I need to invest in a a/f gauge as soon as? It runs fine but just don't want to damage anything.
  7. I installed an E4 ECU into the Legacy to run the VF8. I have had a good look around the internet but can't seem to find the exact info Im looking for. I am wanting to know the Max boost level, Boost cut and fuel cut limits. The only info I can find is on Dirty Ol BC, but it only list the ECU numbers not the specs. Can someone please let me know where the info is or what it is if you know yourself. I like to know whats happening with my car and also can tell somethings going wrong. From what Ive picked up max boost should be 10psi but Im sitting at about 12psi. Could the high boost level be because of the bigger free flowing exhaust? Any help would be awesome
  8. Took the RA into work today. Love driving this thing. Feels a little different driving round with a smaller turbo (I know it usually goes the other way round). Its nice to have boost a bit sooner and a bit more usable on the street without getting into too much trouble. The TD05 is a great turbo but enjoying less lag and sooner boost with the VF8. It also sounds a little different with the new turbo, well at least I think it does. Crackles a bit when down shifting.
  9. Also a good reason to take the car out for a spin😊
  10. I only got the old one yesterday and did the new one quickly on the way home just in case some one else got in😊 The new one shouldn't be too hard. And If anyones are there on a Saturday or Sunday let me know and I can pop down for a coffee at the coffee cart
  11. Old:19th battalion memorial carpark. New:
  12. I think I might have to brew a big pot of coffee, looks like it's gonna be a late night
  13. YouTube has the Goodwood festival of speed live streaming. Just watched mad Mike rip up the course.
  14. Maybe it was meant to be 'don't forget to shimmy'
  15. Just be careful if you get that plate then talk to people about stroking it!!!!!! they may even give you an old look if you tell people you are thinking about a stroker kit!!!
  16. Do you have Coil pack on plug or a coil pack on the manifold?
  17. How much photoshopping is allowed? Im just wondering things like minor touchups to paintwork? or does the car have to be as is at time of photo? Looks like I have to get the RS RA out now and find some good spots for photos.
  18. Its interesting to read the US forums, as they have had to have had a bit of an issue with the new engines (well according to some people) and many are saying they don't trust the longevity of the engines and may with to other brands. Not sure why you would want to swap a AWD to FWD but it does look like a good car and will have a real fan base over in the states (more so than Subaru). Personally I'll stick with Subaru
  19. But it was tested on the Ring!
  20. Always interesting to read features like the Dual axis suspension set up to deal with torque steer. Would be interesting to see how well it deals with 300hp through the front wheels. I remember seeing a Jeremy Clarkson review of the Focus RS and while it was good it still had bad torques steer, the computers and suspension set up still couldn't handle the power
  21. Remember its running a restricter on the turbo. Would be good to see what it would do unrestricted
  22. Good to hear you are ok apart form the nose an headache, the body aches will come soon enough. Sorry to hear about the car as @Andy_Mac said it was one of only 5th gen that I liked the look of. Hope the recovery is quick. Do you think you'll be able to get soem pics of the damage for us? would be good to see what happens when hit in the side.
  23. Found this: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f9/t97335-gold-wheels-color-codes-compilation.html Which has some colour codes for rims, not as early as I was looking for but a good start.
