  1. I experienced the same issue with my HIDs, not that I initially noticed it. Went from my chrome HID headlights to a set of black HID headlights (off @sobanoodle's BR9). Immediately noticed a sharper beam pattern and far more light output. Was your Legacy NZ New @boostin?
  2. Rotates between Botany, Westgate and Albany. Next meet in December:
  3. Glad I could help point you in the right direction with the wheel choice and tyre size Looks good!
  4. Premium product = premium price. The only downside.
  5. @TNHSTI it's quite common to tune first. You can gain a lot of fuel efficiency and performance over the generic stock tune without any mods. @west_minist charges very reasonable rates for a remote tune. Not sure how the re-tune once modified would work in terms of cost. Would be interesting to know.
  6. Heaps of options mate. Rally Armour is a popular one: http://www.rallyarmor.com/index.php/rally-mud-flaps-c-60 Plenty of other companies too Google and Legacy GT Forums are you friends
  7. Depends on what your after. So many different materials and companies that make them. Could DIY a pair from Supercheap or something? Be a bit different and fully custom? The OEM ones are quite nice too: https://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-legacy-splash-guards-p-1821.html Or ebay specials: https://www.ebay.com/itm/4x-Front-Rear-Splash-Guard-Mud-Flaps-for-Subaru-Legacy-2010-2011-2012-2013-Sedan-/182449520214?fits=Make%3ASubaru|Model%3ALegacy Maybe, still undecided. Won't be any major changes til next year anyway.
  8. Fitted mudflaps to protect the paint from the wider tyres
  9. @west_ministhave you tuned many stock EZ36 Legacy? I have a 2011 3.6R Legacy that is completely stock performance wise. Wondering whether I should tune first or look at headers/exhaust/intake etc. Would love to know your thoughts. Thanks in advance
  10. Polished with Dual Action polisher Prepped with Q2M Prep Two coats of Gyeon Q2 MOHS, 1hour between each coat Cured under heat lamps Then Q2M Cure to finish
  11. You don't want to increase rolling diameter too much, otherwise your spare tyre is useless I only remember this after getting new tyres. +/- 3-4% difference should be okay tho.
  12. Pulled the bumper off, removed headlights, swapped HID ballast into new headlights (much swearing), installed new headlights, installed EZ Lip, reattached bumper. Safe to say it was a rather busy afternoon.
  13. A colleagues BP5 (NA) got broken into last night. Looks like the ding bats didn't know about CANBUS and factory immobilisers and tried to punch the ignition and hotwire it...
  14. OLD - The Barracks, Fort Takapuna: New:
  15. unlikely, anything installed from factory should pass compliance.
  16. My owners manual has info about remote start. Will see if I can find anything useful.
  17. BL/BP and newer auto to manual conversions seem to require either an aftermarket ECU (Haltech/Link) or a full reloom and ECU (from a manual)...
  18. Might be keen for this over summer. If Paul is at the monthly meet next week I'll have a chat with him.
