Discovered that one of my PCV hoses was missing ... WTF ...
I went to a few stores to find a new hose, bought clamps as well, and when I started to install the new hose I discovered that my old hose was laying on the cover at the bottom of the engine ...
Only people that touched my car since this happened are the dodgy place where I got my air-conditioning re-gased ...
Name is Skylink auto electrical and they just got a really nice review from me on Google Maps !
Don't go there, you can't trust these guys
I had a VW and you could choose between different pre-set settings for the circumference. You just needed the right cable and software. You can even do it from the ODB on some VW.
This setting is mainly intended for when you fit winter tyres.
There was actually heaps of settings you could change to customize your car, was really cool
Voucher from Grabone, the place is Skylink auto electrical or something like that.
The place looked a little dodgy though, they wanted to check my car for 1 hour ... had to insist that I just wanted the regas but still had to wait 1 hour 30 min total.
Had the air conditioning re-gased for 30 bucks and drained and refilled ATF.
Next on the list are the front and rear differentials, gotta put fresh oil in these.
I didn't express myself correctly, I meant that you need to reinforce the rsb brackets if you take a thick RSB. I wouldn't install an RSB without reinforcement now that I know about this problem. Seems that some guys abroad even bent the RSB brackets with the stock RSB.
Ultraracing say that you need an underbody brace with bracket reinforcements when you install their RSB pointing you at their one. They're just trying to sell it like @GorGasmSpecB pointed.
Of course you can mix the brands
Yeah saw that, won't make the mistake, thx
Nah with the rear lower brace
I saw that Ultra racing says that the rear lower brace is mandatory with their rear sway bar, which is why I count it as part of the package and price.
According to RHD Japan the Cusco is 21mm too
You mean 40$ more expensive for Cusco ?
When I priced it on Pro Wholesale without discount it was more expensive than Cusco, both delivered.
I saw that I can get the Cusco for a good price from RHD Japan, but would be happy with the Ultraracing one as well.
Just depends on the deal I get when I buy it in a month or two.
Good to know for the CS discount.
DBA, Dixcel, Motul 660, that's some good stuff you picked !
Will pick the same things when I will need to except that I will try the Project Mu brake pads instead of Dixcel, heard really good reviews for these on the Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ.
Is it a branded trolley jack ? I used to have a no-name trolley and it made a weird noise at some point, I removed it and noticed it was twisted ...
I don't trust no-name trolley jacks since that day.
Ahahah, I thought it was the back because of the exhaust parts on each side and the differential (used to RWD cars)
I'm going to hide somewhere where nobody can find me now
Same here, I only have the scissor jack and what I did is I lifted only one side (pick the good one) with the scissor jack and secured it with a jack stand under the lower control arm (I think it was the LCA).
Then I went under the car and started the oil change. Just don't forget to remove the jack stand and the scissor jack before checking the oil level
Are you in Auckland ?
