Roll into garage and sync wirelessly?
  2. Have also done some fairly extensive reading on the subject and Marky is bang on re: mods to fix the issue in Aus. You forgot water spray though - one guy I read up on had set this up to activate whenever secondary came on with a manual override which appeared to have good results re: heat soak and reduced pinging. /unserious hat on Once again I think SOOPERCOOLER is the solution to the problem here really.
  3. 2002 gtb is rev D - just saying. Marky is right you can\'t reflash rev C ecus
  4. might be time to hook into the GFB ones where you can flick it over
  5. You are probably better just getting a manual setup. Its probably more relevent to squirt when you are slow moving or not moving at all and intercooler is becomming an interwarmer due to heatsoak. If you make the system exclusively boost related you will be usually moving at high speed anyway and thus in theory it is largely pointless. OR GET A SOOPERCOOLER!!!
  6. Tried this tonight. Bottom part of the hose wouldnt come off was on tighter than a scotsman at a bar! Was a bit worried id snap something so grouched off back to the couch
  7. Fail to prepare = prepare to fail.

    FMIC fan?

It\'s ages since I had all gear to set mine up to be honest. I had some setup to avoid the leakage. Maybe hoses went up initially and thus would need pump to get up. Like I said been ages. Leakage is an issue on front mount especially I understand.

    FMIC fan?

You are supposed to put pressure valves or non return valves on so the water only gets sprayed under pressure and not from simple gravity
  10. IMO you need to upgrade to a soopercooler instead of an STI intercooler. Get with the program!

    FMIC fan?

No one said its about racing from light to lights. But it is a pertinent point particularly in summer if you want to give it some jandal when the road opens up after being in slow moving traffic or stationary for a while. Giving it jandal with hot intake temps due to heat soak will have an increased chance of det. If a squirt of water or an IC fan will mitigate this in any way then its worthwhile - as is the discussion
  12. Just got your 6.2mm hose and the bung from Repco mate? What length of hose did you get? Bung size? Make my life easier when I do it this weekend lol
  13. I did this on my old WRX. Added a bit more grunt in the intake sound and seemed a little peppier lower down in range but tbh the seat of the pants o meter felt little difference.
  14. So you basically remove the T and run one pipe directly from BOV to manifold? And the pipe that was connected to the bottom of the T you block it up and leave it connected but sitting there?

    FMIC fan?

I would suspect effect would be negligeable. Think they show value more in applications like MR2 where airflow is shite to I/C, or WAIC. Personally Id just go with a decent sized core with IC spray for regular air-air intercoolers.

    FMIC fan?

My thoughts are that there would be small improvements in intake temps after long periods stationary. Ie fans would help with heatsoak but no benefits would occur when car has been moving and heatsoak is no longer an issue. Given that Subaru added water spray OEM to some of its cars with top mount its a fair assumption that adding a manual water spray system is more efficient at reducing heat soak and intake temps than a fan would be and given that it works on colling via evaporation it would be effective whilst stationary/heatsoak and under load/while moving. I guess it carries more weight than a fan and you can run out of I/C water spray after a long drive but yeah.

    Totally need a Soopercooler!

    Water spray would be better?
