  1. Probably works for lots of cars but here\'s an iPad installed into a BH Legacy. Very tempting...
  2. ibcjapan.co.jp Straight into the auction houses. Used half a dozen times and recommended.
  3. Haha. Look at that thing, it's like a pig in sh1t! Awesome!
  4. Have a look at this maybe.. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,29041.0.html
  5. I think I've got a couple of these lying around. Have to go check though. What wattage are they?
  6. This might help http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,23735.0.html
  7. http://www.ibcjapan.co.jp/ Signup here and enjoy. I've had about 6 or 7 through here and no problems at all. Descriptions are all accurate and I've been really happy with the results.
  8. OK, so got the new pak file loaded on today. I did ask about the pricing after Shrunk got his done for $145 but got the expected BS about $60 for the pak file (wtf!!), 2hrs of labour etc etc. Total cost was $250 all up so not too bad. It's a proper reflash of the ECU so nothing is lost if the battery is disconnected. The timing was adjusted by 2 degrees and it seems like it was enough to take out the annoying pink. Shrunk is probably right in that it's not making any more power, but what power is there, is now accessible. Previously I'd have to ease off on the throttle when the ball bearing started rattling, but now she pulls good and hard all the way through with no sign of pinking. Nicer to drive and no doubt much better for the prolonged life of the engine. A dyno tune might have found some more power, but that's at least 5x the price of this option. Chucked a can of upper engine cleaner through and now she's good to go.
  9. I'm getting this done later this week, although I was quoted $235 for the same job. Wonder what the difference is...? I'll report back once it's done.
  10. Quick question. I have a RevD Leggy with a slight detonation problem (yes its on 98). I was thinking of getting the ECU reflashed to take this out. Anyone know what sort of power/torque gains I might be able to expect?
  11. Not sure if it's really worth making an app for. Can't you just go to carjam.co.nz if you have a smartphone?
  12. Nice work. Be a good result if someone gets some jailtime for it..
  13. I see your twins and raise you these.. wrx is gone now sadly :-(
  14. Stubaru are pretty good. Knows his stuff.
  15. Awesome feature. Can go surfing without worrying about hiding or losing the keys. Just chuck em in the car and off you go ;D Still get a bit nervous waiting for the locks to open though.. but hasn't failed me yet, even after a dead flat battery.
  16. ^ This. My TT has stock exhaust and a Fujitsubo muffler on the back and it's got an awesome rumble. Not loud, but nice and deep
  17. My BH Legacy had a dead o2 sensor and after some horrific quotes for a new one I did a bit of hunting. Instead of bending over and paying ~$600 for a new genuine one I purchased a Denso unit (who I believe make the Subaru ones anyway) from ebay. The sensor for the Legacy was already way cheaper but what's even better, is that the cheaper WRX sensor also does the job. Part numbers are listed below in case this helps anyone in the future. I got mine for US$150 and it works perfectly. Subaru part number Legacy 22641AA090 Denso Part number 02D08 Impreza part number 22641AA042
  18. Yep I've seen a towbar on a Blitzen. They just take that centre strut out and slide the bar through. Didn't have a close look at it, but it's possible and been done.
  19. I've used Magnum compliance a few times and they've always been pretty quick. Don't be a pain in the arse and ring them everyday and you'll get through quicker.
