  3. Sold my v2 redwrx wagon after 7 years ownership. 70,000 ks and 14 oil changes. Replaced cam belt 3 years ago. Great car and many happy times. Seems a bit odd not seeing it parked out back but life goes on.

  6. It appears that semi forged should read semi-solid forming. The pistons are created in a semi solid state and if you want to find out more google search teksidaluminium and all will be revealed.

  8. There is a chipped ecu available from a japanese company called MINES. REmoves speed cut,slight boost increase and i think does some fueling changes. You might find one on trademe,sell for $150-$300.
  9. Has your engine got hydraulic valve lifters?They can make a noise on start up if they are sticking.
  10. Wont do it any harm.The small amount thats mixed with the 98 will act as an upper cylinder lubricant.Dont thrash it till it stops smoking as the octane rating may be reduced a little and could lead to detonation.

  13. 205/40 17 showing 60ks on speedo = 57ks on roadside speed radar readout. 215/45 17 showing 60ks on speedo=54ks on same roadside speed radar. So you should be getting a less accurate reading if you have gone up in tyre size/ratio. Makes you wonder what it would show if on original 16's,might have to try it one day.

  18. So whats the answer to keeping the engines cooler when the ambient temp gets up to 30 + degrees?
  19. Thats a good oil to use.I have used it in my wrx for 14 oil changes and had no problems. I do use edge in the sti though.
