I would dig alot deeper into their red tape on imported cars, contact customs, they are there to help you, remember that there is a reason why these cars are not in Aussie in the first place. use an import agent or shipping service, they should be able to advise you on the procedures. they would be the same as what i got for my heater control unit, take the bulb out of the holder, take the bulb to your local auto sparky and go from there, got mine for $2.00 each, can get the bulbs for you and post them your way if you have trouble finding them.
