Could be true.
Some times a little knowlege is a bad thing... and common sence is not that common.
I know of a few things people had done stuff like that.
One guy thought he would be smart to suck out the gas flumes from his petrol tank with his vacuume cleaner. That exploded :
My mate thought he was low with oil, Looking down the filler cap.
So he filled it right to the top of this plate that sits just below the cap.
Started it and oil went bloody every where : Seals went .
Car was pretty mint for what it was.. a few days later it went to the wreckers
Man that 911 looks pretty dam nice
Just read this quote... :
Subaru did not buy the rights form Porsche..
Subaru did buy the Rights of a newer flat 4 from the Borgward Group when they closed up in the 1960s.
They got the design rights from a Lloyd 900 arabella engine and improved on the design.
The boxer motor can dissipate heat very well. Allumium cools quicker.
You have have more surface area to dissipate heat.
Ive noticed Alot of modern cars bearly have any where for air to go into the engine bays.
Some wee inline fours ive opened bonnets on, and they give you a exetreme blast of heat in the face.
Dads flat 4 powered car infact runs too cool. Going to have to cover the grill.
Strength on the block depends on the manifacture.
They can be very strong.

My ones on the Alto are piddly.. I can not see where Im reversing at night.
I want brighter ones so I dont end up backing into the letter box or retaining wall etc.
