  6. Hi guys, this Sunday is Southward Car Museum's Open house, Will be an awesome day where they start some of the cars and you get to see behind the scenes at some of the restorations. I have some double passes to giveaway, so post up if you're actually going to go (not if you're "keen" but not keen enough to actually get off ya arse) if you've never been before you cart really call your self a car enthusiast... sorry, just how it is...

Hey team, This saturday the 10th i propose a bit of a group fix-it day, Location - My place Time, any time from 10am onwards I have a BH legacy in my garage which the engine will be coming out, so its a great chance if you've never done it before to see how its done and pick up some tricks. on the other side of the coin, if you have experience in this field, it would be great if you would come along and share your knowledge. if you have any niggling issues with your vehicle, this would be an ideal time to have a yarn and see if we can find a solution also. I was thinking we could hang around later on and have a few beers, and crank up the BBQ. those that wish to crash for the nigh bring an air bed or something. My place is right across the road from the beach, so bring the kids for a swim or what ever. Post up if you're keen to come along. no experience required. Would be great to see you all.

I just asked for a quote and rattled off the cassis number and the parts I wanted and they emailed me a quote with all the parts and relevant part numbers, this was at Armstrong Subaru, and I was actually surprised at their prices. Head gaskets Rocker cover gaskets Intake gaskets Exhaust gaskets Oil filter full cambelt kit $1400 For what I would class as full open heart surgery of a 14 year old car approaching 200,000 ks, I don't think it's too bad.
  19. Hey guys and girls, managed a mammoth 1400km in the old girl from Kapiti to Auckland and back and she's been over heating the whole way. 2001 Legacy GTB Suspected broken head gasket. Where do you all get gaskets from, and are some better than others? Interested to hear your thoughts.
