  1. I still think anyone driving more than 20kph under the open road speed limit, and anyone driving 15kph under the town speed limits should be ticketed for impeeding the flow of traffic. Driving slow is just as bad as driving fast. ...and, based on a recently completed 26 year study (by me ), statistically, women and asians are friggin hopeless behind the wheel...
  2. Waiting for the expensive bang....
  3. Demerits usually expire when you stop driving like a c0ck....
  4. Yeah, but if you push it, it'll see 1.75bar...just shy of 26psi...
  5. The Spec C had a 50L tank. Filled to the brim, i would get 600km out of a tank with highway (open road) driving. Thats a mild 100-120kph (maybe the odd burst to 160ish on desert road), overtaking anything slower than 100kph, rapidly. BP98 only. This was achieved about 6 or 7 times in regular trips from Auckland to Palmy-Levin and back... By comparisson, my Safari weighs 1100kg more, is 4.2L diesel auto and will do 600km's on a tank (95L) highway. Thank god diesel is around 70c a litre cheaper than 98!
  6. Just found one on Park and sell in Glenfield: SUBARU SVX 1992 Colour: Burgandy Plate: YS7082 Make: SUBARU Model: SVX Year: 1992 Main colour: Red Vehicle type: Passenger Car/Van Body style: Saloon No of seats: 5 CC rating: 3,310 Fuel type: Petrol Assembly type: Imported Built-Up Country of origin: Japan Got $5950 on the window, looks tidy but done over 200,000km's Has mags.
  7. That'd be it. For a cheap fix, you could buy a full set of the std impreza shocks (same as in the wrx). They will bolt in fine, but are a lot softer than the STI ones. That's if you cant afford a good set of coilovers. I put a new pair in the back of the Spec c and was ok, just a wee bit softer, until i got the coilovers.
  8. If it's a red shock, it'll be the shock. Guessin it's done around the 50-80,000km's mark? This is where the seals usually fail. Can't rebuild either, no matter what people tell you to the contrary. New from subaru: approx 6-700 EACH! Time for coilovers, unless your lucky to find some cheap second hand ones (make sure they done below 20,000kms or they'll just go tits up again real soon).
  9. Why the hell would someone fork out for a new grill and bonnet, just to fit those hideous Hamilton lights... : Spend the money on GO!
  10. They aren't height adjustable... Not sure if they fit, had some in my 97 wagon, very, very hard.
  11. Spose'd to be a 2004 model...bloody interweb...
  12. Spray Paint is all good...
  13. Desktop size here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2595/4205836868_c359911f94_b.jpg
  14. Looks ok, but it could do with an inch and a half taken out of the ride height... Nicer dark (WORK maybe?) wheels would set it off too:
  15. If you need to take your car to a mechanic to relpace a dead alarm back up battery, maybe you should think about selling the Subaru, cause it's gonna get expensive
  16. Yeah, subaru do a nice one...or, there are plenty of ugly looking a/m ricer ones about...
  17. Just start by posting a couple of pics, and letting us know what brand partsare on it, and how many km's, whether it's had a new engine, or box etc... Easier to give advice when we know what were giving advice on...
  18. Ok, 40psi in the Spec C (235/45R17) and 40psi in the Safari (31x10.5R15: 265/75R15)
  19. If it's french, then it's dirty...
  20. Mate had a Peugeot 105 (some club special, with red seat belts and go fast bits), pretty quick for a Peugeot...
