  1. They use POP Radar - from memory I think it is on K & Ka bands... Might need some digging... Aha, some info: http://www.valentine1.com/Moreinfo/pdf/POP_pg26.pdf
  2. I think I is missing something here and it is making it sound all WRONG... Sweet on the soda blasting tho
  3. subieboy

    neon lights

That and they only belong on gay Honda's... On a serious note, I think you got it there, but look it up on the WOF schedule online
  4. One of my more hated jobs back in the day... Faaaaark is all I can say
  5. I vote it was a poos soldering job on the line and they were all off to the Mangatainoka pub/brewery for the Miss TUI contest so they can have "salad with their combo bro..." EDIT forgot the IIIIItalics Is it possible to hunt down the Diode from Jaycar?
  6. Use the search function Its next to Help function and before the profile function... Here is a start: http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php?action=search2
  7. Maybe a bit early for it, but the BH/BE hates poddies... The biggest two reasons are: a) vibration b) crud getting through the poos filter (its been shown that the factory filter filters better and flows healthier) Ps the AFM for the BH/BE was round the $180 a piece 3 years ago, no doubt its dearer now...
  8. From memory most cars/utes/trucks/etc have the old pre-fill the filter trick somewhere in their service manuals... Well we used to do it to the old Hi-lux and the old Massey Ferguson...
  9. It is no where near similar to Single - Waiting for the Lag would kill you... You could cook a BBQ while waiting for the turbo's to spool up and have time to play a couple of rounds of golf, Footy, and Back Yard cricket... Oh and watch the paint dry... Its like this, Foot flat on to loud pedal, Jump out, Cook the BBQ, play games such as footy, gold, cricket et al, paint the wall, watch the grass grow, watch the paint dry, mow the lawn, oh yea woot boost, oh wait its only 7000RPM to 7500RPM next gear do it all over again.... You could buy a the new BL/BP (2nd hand) for the coin you would waste... There are ways to manage VOD... such as a sequential controller (see 41 - club sponsor)
  10. uhm define owned... IMHO: My personal view is on a FACTORY standard car like a GT/GTB leggy a front mount will probably increase lag..., but much more likely top get heatsoak in a topmount IC... As for increased heatsoak - if you were in Cairns/Darwin/Perth/Brisbane etc and stuck in traffic mayhap - easy fix - fit a higher flow electric fan As for closed bumper design - Supercheap/Bunnings/M10/et al $20 for a jigsaw...
  11. +1 on the cherry, hope it was good for you tho ;D
  12. As in parallel turbo?? Dont bother, better ways to waste your money...
  13. Lance not the kind of info people would like to see posted about their business (aka their financial status...)
  14. Ggggrrr I hate people that just dont pay their bill for no good reason, so what your life went poos, it happens, PAY YOUR BILL you mutton, and I would gladly see the gangs come whip yo ass
  15. From Subaru's own Tech manual: [5] How to carry out self-diagnosis Method using Check Engine Lamp <Read memory> (1) Connect the read memory connector (black, 1 pole) with ignition switch OFF. (2) Ignition switch turned ON (engine stopped) (3) Check if the check engine lamp blinks. (4) Inspection _ The lamp does not turn on. .......Check an abnormality of the check lamp. _ The lamp blinks (without display of DIAG code) .......No display of DIAG code in the past → Perform D check and confirm the current failure. _ The lamp blinks (with display of DIAG code) .......Display of DIAG code experienced in the past → Perform checking based upon the DIAG code. <D check> (1) Engine warming up (2) Ignition switch turned OFF (3) Connection of test mode connector (green 2 poles) (4) Ignition switch ON (Engine stops) (5) Check engine lamp turning ON Confirm that the check engine lamp turns ON. (6) Inspection of the fuel pump Confirm that functioning noise of the fuel pump can be heard for 2 seconds after IG SW ON. You can perform this check up from the pulses by touching the fuel hose in the engine room. If it is NG, check the fuel pump circuit. (7) Inspection of solenoid valve Confirm that functioning noise of canister purge solenoid (clicking noise) can be heard. If it is NG, check the solenoid valve circuit line. (8) Inspection of radiator fan. Confirm that the radiator fan functions intermittently. If it is NG, check the radiator fan line circuit. (9) Signal input to throttle sensor Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly, and then release it. (10)Starting the engine Caution In the case of vehicles with AT, be sure to start the engine in P range. If the engine does not start, check the engine for the disable starting. (11)Vehicle speed sensor signal input Run your vehicle at the speed of 10 km/h. (12)O2 sensor signal input Activate O2 sensor by keeping the engine revolution between 2,000 ~ 3,000 rpm for more than 1 minute. (13)Check lighting of Check Engine Lamp. (Normal) ........ Blinking (Abnormal) .... Display of DIAG code In the event that several DIAG codes are displayed, diagnose the failure one by one starting with smaller number. After one repair (check) has been finished, perform D check to see if the DIAG code has disappeared. If other codes are displayed, proceed to the said failure diagnosis
  16. I thougth "show us your crack first" then took ages trying to remember who they were ;D
  17. They appear to be rooted as if someone's dumped them in the ocean for a while, Also the muppet that took those of CUT the brakelines (so you will probably need to buy new or second hand ones) At the very least you will need a new seal kit for that particular set, and then over haul them so on top of the $300 buy now you will also need another $300 - $400 to fix them (maybe more if you have it professionally done) Do a search of the forums, NASIOC, Ozliberty, etc for info (even google will be a good bet) Here is some more stuff from Tardme (not all are 4 pot but hey freebie) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/CategoryListings.aspx?mcat=0001-0877-2787-8512-
  18. Basically mod an auto. OH rite mod an auto... I got the 11's bit
  19. 99 BH5 GTB with some mods in stuff (suspension, braces, stereo, gauges, other stuff) Mrs RSK with only mod the zorst she got cat back Both in storage Pretty much that is what I was saying then, my salary has doubled, so has my work, my commute time have trippled, our social life is less so (but is starting to come back - just the usual thing of shifting countries meeting new people, and cost blah blah blah) Anyway, Do the sums before you go For instance our Rego for this year (12mths) $568.00, then there's the insurance close to $800.00 for both of us(went up due to floods and stuff) (Hyundai Getz 1600 2007 model), Rent is now $330 per week (and we are 18 K or so from CBD) for a unit, not a house... Car service: cheapest good guys are around the $300 mark for minor service only as an average over the different types of serviceintervals (log book/warranty service).... Other stuff as well, work longer hours, travel longer hours.. And before you say, but Dorkland is worse, I lived in Dorkland for a while, Brisbane is worse, Sydney is a nightmare, Brisbane now has more roadworks and that is creating havoc with traffic... Basically if your rush hour trip used to be an hour in Brisbane it is now 1hour 30 to 1hour 40 mins... In our case we were better off socially in NZ (time off, free dollars, better cars cheaper, free cash) than Qld. Now that we have a "mini-me" on the way, we will be WAY better off in NZ. In NZ you have maternity leave and pay, in OZ zip, zero, nadda, buggerall, Oh and preschool sheesh try $550 per week for a 6mth old baby to pre-schooler... Its all about what suits you and what you want to achieve while here...
  20. Yep Brisvegas, been here for a little while now Moving back at some stage. I did a big speil on the old pre-implosion forum on living here in OZ vs NZ... Nick (WRXER) might still have a copy of that via a link he did to another forum somewhere... More food for thought, but basically my unscientific results proved you were better off lifestyle wise in NZ than OZ, due to higher costs for stuff over here
  21. I rate them on the "DROOL FACTOR" alone... If we had the money YUM YUM
  22. Wow 12 pages... ^^^O...oh is that what his problem was, I thought he must've been caught at the wrong time of the wrong side of bed wake-up thingy...
