  1. Should I be worried about the negative terminal being not insulated? I really would like to insulate it to be safe - what do I use? Have you got any suggestions about stuff around the house I can use? Thought of fuel hose but I would have to wait till Tuesday to buy some. I guess I could use tie wraps to keep the metal connection away from the L-arm, but would prefer to protect it. Any ideas?
  2. I have gone the cheaper way, and got a manual 50 lap timer. In lieu of an IR beacon, I hit the lap button when I pass the start/finish line. Last lap time freezes for 15 seconds into the next lap. This, too, was $100. Recording method is pencil and paper at the track, onto PC at home. I can relive the event many many times.
  3. Great intro page Darren. Really like the slide out dvd and gauges.
  4. I'm keen too. Let me know how much you want.
  5. Is it difficult to find reverse gear? Have you or anyone that you know of slammed the gears from 1st to reverse? The reason I ask is that they look like 2 of the 3 detents that allow you to select reverse gear. [Don't ask me why I know ]
  6. My father in law just got a BH9 Legacy. Does anyone know where I can get an owners manual for it? Cheers Al
  7. Have had 2 sets and they have excellent stopping power. They heated up my disks which follows from track-braking and disks needed major cooling down. Probably mostly down to the driver. For rallies and sprints, there is more cool-down time between corners, so less hot disks. Highly recommended. (Have TS2000's now, and previously 2 x Lucas, 2 x EBC Redstuff Ceramic, 3 x Bendix Ultimates, not in that order.)
  8. I replaced my bushes on the front and rear swaybars because they were clanky and crashy. No noise now.
  9. So... any chance you'll replace the O2 sensor? Symptoms for my faulty 02 sensor were that when I'd first start the car, and it was supposed to idle, the engine would cut out. Something like a major electrical system shutdown - not entirely dissimilar to your situation. As Ichiban suggests, fix one fault at a time, until they all go away. Especially a major recurring one. (I unclipped the lead for my O2 sensor until I could afford to buy a new one. )
  10. Needle never moved from normal road position.
  11. I have a 4:3 non-dvd quality but good screen quality in-car of me hooning round the track. If you want it, let me know and I can post a dvd to you. It's about 1G.

It's worth $400 ;D BTW I made the metal brackets out of stainless steel I had from a discarded bbq lid. Total cost ~$20. Time taken = lots, because it takes me a while to do these things.

  15. No one has yet mentioned EBC red stuff ceramic pads. I've had 2 sets and combined with very good fluid, they are excellent.
  16. Hmmm, yes it's quite big
  17. I've still got your Slicka. Rob and I did some corrective karate training on the chilly bin. It won't crash into my car again.
  18. Carnage at megameet: Reversed into my chillybin The correct colour is blue
