  1. Gotta do the job properly, even if it is frustrating
  2. The Bilsteins are quite a bit stiffer on the push test than what is in there though. Should be a flatter on the corners now. Was pretty good before I thought for standard so hopefully no knocks etc in the new ones. Im just going to do the fronts and wait till ive got some springs to do the rears and fronts again. Gotta bleed the bloody brakes now
  3. Not yet, still have to get them fixed up when i go to Cambridge in October
  4. Its rainging and i wanted to do something mechanical so ive fitted the front right shock. No drop in height, so will definately needsome lowering springs.
  5. A low km evo 8 will hold its value better than an sti. 25k seems good to me, not that ive looked lately.
  6. Is it in NZ? custom or are there a few from the factory like that?
  7. Looks like a nice one low kms and nz new. If you hang on it for awhile ou shouldnt lose to much.
  8. I ve had loud with my old stis. My RA is just right for me now, think its just got a downpipe and a standard exhaust with no cat. A nice quiet rumble with a crack between changes when you give it a boot full.
  9. Sedan or wagon? I need a sedan boot in white
  10. Buy it if you can it looks immaculate, the gear booot even looks new. No coin scraping in the tray etc. Would be a good buy if you were to hang on to it.
  11. stira

    door closed but

Is it the right rear one? I have a similar issue.
  12. If the crimson one had a spoiler id get excited.
  13. Dont use sealer, youll never get the stuff off and if you get a bit in an oil gallery your engines stuffed. it came from the factory without sealer so it will be fine with the gaskets. Frustrating fkcuing job, but reasobaly simple to do your self. Have a plaster ready for your knuckles ;D
  14. No, they run on proper gear oil. Get some shock proof stuff if you plan to hammer it.
  15. TT are good, and Ive owned both. TTs are great for long distance and cruisng etc, if you wanna turn your cap backwards and give the civics a go at the lights, there no good though :
  16. Thers plenty of those around. I wouldnt rush in to it. Why not go for something a bit rarer?
  17. Today while I washing my car, it occured to me i have unhealthy obsession with cleaning my car. I wash it at least once a week What about you?
  18. sedan, boards are 6 1ish, they fit with the nose under the dash on there side with the tai9l on the rear parcel shelf. We did many trips to gisborne like that. Great drive and good surf, plus no need for racks.
  19. Gisborne, thats ok ill have a ring around and see what I can find.
  20. You dont happen to have a spare white boot and spoiler do you?
  21. Prepare for a fair bit of depreciation if you go that way... I have been able to fit two surfboards in my stis and my legacy with the seats up. I would proabably go for a newer gtb over the forrester, has alot more boot space.
  22. Dont get the forrester, from my anecdotal evidence on here, they are generally sold and an sti brought. If your buying them because you may have kids and want the room, you may as well get a four door saloon theres not much in them compared to other four wheel drives. Ive got to kids and we manage to fill ou long wheel base Pajero up pretty easily., plus the extra seats in the back are real handy, instant bus when required. If you love the shape buy a forrester, otherwise you may as well just get an sti, they are just as practical. For the price range your looking in, I would drive a hard baragin on a standard v8, an evo 7 or if you were real lucky a v9, but it sort of depends if you want something different to what you had?
